If so then deal with it. If not then leave the operation.
Fun time is over, we played all the maps already several times. Now its about efficiency. Pretty standard in games like these. Ever heard of Kerillian?
I mean, the ones with the jobs should be part of the speedrunners, since they have less time to play and thus need to be more efficient.
And after you got to level 25, what are you gonna do? Quit? The entire game is all about doing the same missions over and over.
There is rushing and *rushing*. You are not supposed to spend one gazillion hours in a single mission, especially as enemies will keep spawning and you have a limited amount of resources to fight them. Just kill the group in the area, sweep around for drops and go on the next. If you want to spend 10 minutes watching a plant and roleplay as Sir David Attenborough in WH40K, you can do that once they will release private lobbies next patch.
if you stay in an area too long you might get a second wave of enemies. it seems like that it eventually stops, but rushing = least amount of enemies to fight = highest chance to survive the mission.
that and ofc after youve run the mission 20 times it eventually gets boring and youre just after the XP to level up your perks or finish missions to unlock new cosmetic options.
at some point you just know the map and enemies good enough not to dwell on them.
especially since offense = best defense in both Space Marines games. why risk getting shot by ranged units if you can dart across the room and bash their heads in before they notice you.
private lobbies will come eventually. id recommend playing with other likeminded people who play slower.
also: if you see a Black Templar, Blood Angel or Space Wolf player in a Operationslobby: expect it to be a fast one.
Sadly, this is the modern gaming world,
most of them were fed up by brainless games such as CoD or Apex.
They got so used to rushing and flexing, oh and being toxic toward other players.
It's okay if it's on lower difficulties, like first two(Minimal or Average).
Which would require less teamwork,
you won't be one-hit-down like expert mode in L4D2.
However, when it reaches 3rd or 4th difficulty(Substantial or Ruthless)
You and your squad need to stay frosty and work together all the time
Including looting/finding those scarce resources(Med Kit, ammo, Armour Pack)
You'll be running out of bullets and on the edge of life & death the whole round.
Yet, some of them always wanna rush it,
just wanna play hero and jump right in for the kill, and got killed/surrounded instead.
Wasting more of other players' time & the Emperor's faith.
people just doing what's efficient.
Blame the game for being so 1 dimensional.
Would be far more interesting if the waves got more dangerous the longer you spent and you got exponentially more rewards for doing so. much more fun with a risk/reward system.
It's especially egregious in SM2 because both cosmetics and equipment upgrades are tied to the same currency that needs to be grinded out.
I think you could probably game this though to actually make people slow down. If the game gave very substantial bonuses for finding things like servitors, armory data, or gene seeds, and their locations were pseudo randomized, people would spend more time in levels looking around to find stuff. There are bonuses as is, but it's not nearly enough to offset speedrunning levels.
I suppose you still got plenty to do after hitting 25 and thats probably a major reason to speedrun.
Want to use another weapon? Do idk 30 missions.
