The worst part about Zangors is that they are easy to kill (Parry, attack, dead), but each one takes just a bit too much effort to kill for a mid-trash mob and there are so many of them so it gets really boring, really quick dealing with mobs of them unless you have explosives or a decent Heavy.
Agreed. Also the lorewise, I don't think peons with a shield should be able to block more than 1 or 2 bolt gun shots without getting their arms broken, let alone being even able to carry the weight of a shield that can block bolt shot at all lol.
Sure you could angle the story to make the Iron Warriors and the Black Legion work, but Thousand Sons work fine and would have been truly difficult had they played into the psykers more.
That said a more compelling story for the Thousand Sons would be a space marine story with the main character / faction being blood ravens and finally finding out what legion they came from is.
Story wise, true.
