Edit: Actually, I can not find any such perk in the perk tree. Are you sure about that?
Shield negates all ranged attacks and melee attacks, as long as those are not unparriable.
Worth mentioning that you can still do normal parries, like other classes, by quickly taping the parry button instead of holding it.
Having a Shield doesn't mean you don't need to perfect parry often, in fact, perfect parries are very important for Bulwark.
