Streaming to Stream Deck No Controls Need Help
When attempting to remote play stream this game to my Steam Deck, it boots and everything, sound it working, etc... Except controls. I can't seem to get the Steam Deck controls to work like they were a controller to play the game.

Anyone have any ideas?
I've rebooted.
I have disabled Steam Input on both machines.

Game still will not register the Steam Deck as the controller so I can play via streaming.

Work around/Fix

1. Plug in a wired Xbox360, Xbox One, or Xbox Core controller.
2. Ensure your PC isn't set to sleep or anything like that.
3. Ensure your streaming PC has the proper speakers and microphone defaulted in the Windows Sound Settings.

Aka...
Speakers - Steam Streaming Speakers.
and
Microphone - Steam Streaming Microphone.

4. Put the streaming PC in Steam Big Picture Mode.
5. Walk away, sit on the couch, lay on a bed, etc.
6. Boot up your Deck.
7. Stream to your Deck.
8. Deal with some Heresy! (Aka play the game with zero issues)

Same issue here. I've tried using the steamdeck and my laptop, no luck. They really botched the controller issue here. I've no trouble playing with controller directly on my desktop PC that is running it. And every other game I have I can use the controller with. Only this game has an issue.

I was really torn whether to buy this on steam or Xbox. Went with steam because I knew I'd be able to stream and could play from my couch. Yeah, not so much!

Really? No one is trying to do this and no one has a work around or any info about this? Crazy.

See the solution above that cneuries recommended. Worked flawlessly.

You can't use PS5 controller. It has to be an Xbox controller.

Just completed the game via streaming to the Deck. What an awesome experience it was. Can't wait to get into the Multiplayer Co-op Operations. Hats off Saber Interactive, well done.
