Can no longer level up weapon

Hi I have mastered all the master craft (Green) weapons for Heavy Bolter and it no longer gains xp at all and i cant upgrade it to artificer (Purple) anyone else having this issue?

You have to fill the exp bar up on that weapon tier before moving onto the next higher tier

You need to acquire armoury data from the 3rd difficulty to go above green, then from the 4th to get relic level gear.

My issue is that when i finish a mission I no longer get any exp for the weapon to advance it

I have plenty of purple armory data I just no longer gain xp for my weapons xp bar to advance to purple all my weapons are mastered in Green tier

You dont get xp for the individual weapon anymore, but you get xp for the general weapon. It should happen regularly, that you finished leveling all your weapons and still you need more general weapon xp to reach the next tier to unlock.

I have same issue, game have stopped giving my weapons exp, and to top it off it started with a victory screen telling me that chainswoord and bolt pistol leveled up, only the armory didn´t get the memo, weapons are still missing exp and 6 succesful missions later the exp bar haven´t moved 1 exp. Victory screen tells me weapons are maxed so no exp but armory screen says that I´m missing 990 exp to get to purple teir, before I can use purple aromry unlock item. Weapons are stuck in green teir.

Again, the exp you get for the general weapon isnt shown in the victory screen, only the exp for the individual weapon. This means you will usually have all weapons of a tier at mx. exp but you still need more exp to reach the next tier and that you get just by playing with any of the individual weapons, though i believe the weapons have to be part of the tier before the tier you want to unlock. Like a grey weapon wont give you general exp for the green tier (at least i believe so, i havent tested it yet).

If really nothing happens with the general exp bar after a game, even so you used the weapon, then it has to be a bug.

It was a bug exp didnt move, cheked.
I reinstalled the game on a NVe disk, problem sovled (probely just the reinstall)

Have same problem. Bought mastery points on some weapons and general weapon exp stuck. i was like - why i run 5-8 operatiions? for so long without advance for next lvl... and when just check the exp before and after operation - no changes at all. And this is exactly problem i have on different classes.

Played my first operation and my heavy bolter didnt get any xp at all, the bolt pistol did.

Anyone shine a light on this? My theory is that you need to use the weapon to a certain minimum in the mission. Had this problem with my green knife, ran ruthless dif. and didn't get xp for the knife.

I don't understand why people are still confused on how this works. The most recent patch even added a screen to show you specifically the difference between getting XP on your weapon and XP on the class of weapon.

There is a pool for "Weapon Type XP" which get contributed towards by using any weapon of that type. There is also a pool of XP for each individual weapon, which i will call "Specific Weapon XP". Completing a mission with a weapon contributes to both of these XP pools simultaneously.

When you fill up the "Specific Weapon XP" pool for a weapon you get a mastery point. At the score screen it will say you've mastered the weapon and will not show the XP bar, however, now there is another screen that will also display the progress bar for your "Weapon Type" XP pool.

Also note this.

• You don't get XP for killings things
  
• You do get bonus XP for completing the mission while holding the gene-seed.
  
• The XP you get is based off the difficulty you are playing on
  
• Swapping a weapon with another of a different type during the mission will result in you receiving the rewarded XP split evenly to each of them,

Because like i said i did my first mission as the heavy with a heavy bolter and a bolt pistol, the pistol got XP and heavy bolter got nothing, so i dont see what youre explaining if i legit got zero xp.

I believe that you believe you got 0 xp, but i think you are probably misinterpreting what you saw. Not a single person has posted a screenshot or video showing this happening.
