And I doubt the team would appreciate a lvl1 Heavy on Ruthless
I was using DRG (Deep Rock Galatic) as an example. In the game, you can toggle an option to prevent players of same class from joining from get go without them having to wait to be loaded in then to not be able to play.
I think something similar to this effect would fix the issue.
It honestly wouldn't be bad as it is if the loading times were not so high.
30 seconds is that high?
When you sometimes have to rotate through multiple lobbies or quit to main menu and reload due to lobby bug? yes.
What are you on about, every time you join a lobby that already has your class its a couple of minutes by the time you join and leave and re-queue for another mission.
On the point tho, completely agree. It is an insane oversight that there is class restriction for a party but matchmaking doesnt take into consideration what you chose.
I appreciate the agreement haha.
On loading time matter, I do agree with the other guy tho.
I think he is not just talking about loading time. Realistically with current server issues, it goes something like:
Start the game (15 sec)
Load your lobby (30 sec)
Wait for match making (15 sec)
Load the lobby (30 sec)
Player of same class loads in (!!)
Awkwardly stare at each other (15 sec)
The other player leaves ( :( )
Wait for someone else (30 sec)
Realizes match making broke (!!)
Quit to main menu (...)
And start the cycle again (shucks)
From my realistic experience, from booting up the game to actual starting of the game takes 5-15 min.
Pretty sure that's what he meant by "loading time" haha.
Edit: just realized I replied to wrong person ha.
also this is irrelevant to the conversation about your HDD
cross play would just speed it up in terms of finding a game because of a larger pool of people to connect to the server. disabling cross play just lowers your pool to connect to people. and the only people it really affects in terms of connection is the console counter parts. unless your internet is straight up dog water. but usually consoles struggle to load more than a PC does, because your RAM, CPU or hard drive. if your PC cant send information fast enough to through the bridges to your internet port either being hard connected to wireless is mainly dictated by the hardware put in. example of this is if you have a 5e ethernet cord compared to just having a 5 ethernet cord(which you shouldn't) and if where you live runs coaxial or fiber, or you connect to a dish, so many factors affect your connection speed. the main thing you can do to make it to where its the internet companies problem is your hardware, but even then, an internet company can just throttle your connection speed on their end.
