There a all female sisters of battle that have dozens of chapters and likely billion of members. Their are sisters of silence, 10's of thousands most likely, there are female Imperial Guard, female Inquisitors, Female starship captains, 40k has ALWAYS been a haven for strong female characters, it did not need one of the few male only groups, the Custodians, having women added to them for the sake of clout.

The existing lore is as malleable as clay.

Femstodes are official at this point. That's a recent retcon that added females to a previous male only group and the retcon literally changed the lore to say femstodes have always existed.

Do you think the lore won't be changed again?

I dont really care about if they going to change it. But i dont care about play a male or female character. I dont judge by gender, i judge by lore... Maybe everyone should do this..

How does one judge something by a thing that changes constantly?

Do you pretend Squats still exist or did you accept that retcon?

This discussion has been going on for longer than I care about the topic. Add female Space Marines if you want or stand by the lore, but don't change the lore just because of an internet mob.

Does it constantly change?

Custodes were all men since 2ed.

Marines were all men since 1ed.

Somebody retconing a date of a battle or number of remaining lamenters doesnt mean nothing in lore is established fact.
