If anything, we are still stronger than we should be. 3 Marines (even if Primaris) shouldnt be able to survive, let alone win this easily.
Titus used to be a Space Marine Captain, he has higher stats. 😉
Sure, but he is still just 1 guy. As strong as he is, even he shouldnt be able to manhandle 8 tyranid warriors solo.
You are forgetting that we are dropped in the middle of the warzone. We are not alone there, but an entire Cadian regiment or more was also stationed there. What we really are doing is facing off a small force of Tyranids overall.
Secondly, There isn't much feedback when you hit an alien with any high powered bullets (bolts) in game at all. It's like it doesn't register. It makes it seem like your weapons don't do much damage to them at all if they are so nonchalant about it lol.
yes thats the word i was looking for, enemies have little to no feedback when taking damage which makes guns feel weak and uninspiring.
Doesn't help that there already was a Space Marine shooter that all the guns felt better in. The Pyreblaster feels like a 2handed hand flamer during the campaign. Even with as good as the Melta guns are in this, the Melta Gun felt better in 1 and had better visuals (though graphically dated, still seemed more Melta to me) Meanwhile the Bolt variants feel worse than just a regular Bolter lol.
Melta is ridiculously strong in this game. Like top 3 together with lasgun and the plasma (both).
And ye I feel you on the first part, I wish they hurry up with the darktide patch, I miss shooting stuff and watching them actually die. The downed state or whatever (enemy turning red) is a huge turn off for ranged in this game. Sure it's fun to execute, but it gets old.. Really fast and for ranged, that's just extra ammo wasted.
Learning when and how to perfect parry / dodge is also very important against majoris and above. What I do is, when I'm alone with a majoris, no brothers or minoris around, I play a bit with him, trying to parry everything for a few seconds, taking my time. Slowly you'll learn how to deal with each of them and you'll be also able to use these habits in the middle of a crowd too.
