Is the Stalker Bolter worth the grind for Tactical / Sniper?
If yes, can you provide some viable Builds and weapon perks for them?

I was thinking along the lines of:
Tactical with Stalker and auspex geared for maximum damage as a sort of Anti Elite ie.
Extremis and Terminus.

And Sniper with Stalker as a more aggressive mid range combatant.

Every weapon can be good if you are doing head shots...which you should be doing with everything, especially precision weapons like the stalker and sniper. TBH head shotting in this game is the easiest thing i've done, but unfortunately there are a lot of people who only fathom body shots...i'm just going to assume they are Orks in disguise.

hahaha... no.

You can play with your peashooter, I'll play with my melta/plasma and bolter grenadier which are many times better.
>guy gets called out on being bad at the game and spreading a bad take by three seperate players
>tripples down on his bad take
What clownish behaviour.

PS: That "peashooter" objectively delivers higher DPS against single targets than either the Melta or the Plasma Incinerator. Unless you're bad a clicking heads, that is. And none of what you said or will say is ever going to change that cold, hard fact. Try to learn to click heads instead of opening your mouth, it's gonna yield you better results.

Oh wow you're so mad.

hey i take offense to that, you like to "cheese" fights by doing Headshot only runs, I don't.

edit: I prefer body shots, because otherwise they die too quick.

also, I think the "big boy" guns can also headshot if you aim right.

On sniper - it is unlikely to get you much economy when Las Fusil exists. That weapon is just busted.

On tactical - it offers you good, but not great, stand off damage assuming you can land headshots. That sounds like damning with faint praise but when you combo that with the damage buffing scan and the fact that you have a good melee weapon in the chainsword, you become a very good jack of all that can handle any situation no problem.

It is likely objectively worse than just straight up grenade Tactical though outside corner cases where you can't kill majoris regularly for nade refills or you are somehow stuck shooting at stuff far enough away that the launcher can't reach well.

Any weapon kill fast when auspec is applied to targets. Simple bolt rifle with 9 damage probably kills faster just because of better fire rate probably.
When I used maxed stalker bolter, I prefered just to melee enemies. Chaos marines included. And it's weird, but it feels simple bolter kills tyranid warriors more efficiently too. I don't have that tallent to bypass their bullet blocking run, but seriously, I feel even without it bolter rifle does more damage and even when they block, it still damages them.

It is unlikely you are landing enough headshots with a bolter - the recoil and spread is just too much. You can land a rapid succession of head shots with Stalker with much less skill.
It still plays second fiddle in raw power to grenadier Tactical but it isn't a terrible option.

If you are killing stuff faster with the bolt rifle, then the answer is you aren't headshotting enough and you are relying on raw mag dumps and RoF to kill enemies. No shade on that if that is what gets the job done...but then again if you are doing that, why aren't you just grenade launching everything to pieces? Why bother with anything else in the Tactical's arsenal?

At the end of the day the Stalker is still very strong, probably the 2nd best weapon in the Tactical kit after Bolt Rifle +nade launcher. Melta is also strong but it doesn't have Extremis or Terminus killing power that both Grenade launcher and Stalker can bring.
Its a good weapon against zoans and neuros once fully leveled

I take what I please and often I will take. But no less then 9 and no more then 11.
As long as the Las exists on Sniper, the other weapons will fall far behind what it can do.

Stalker is busy pinging away, while the Las puts ranged Warriors and Rubrics into Execution range in 2 shots while destroying any Minoris in the way.

That's not necessarily true that it falls far behind. Yes the Las Fusil is great. The Stalker is not that far behind I would even dare say it's competitive. Do you realize how often you will be attacking from camo with the damage boost? Clipping off a few shots with the stalker to take down a big guy happens in no time compared to 2 charged las fusil shots. Course on a sniper being effective with the stalker bolt gun really requires you to be money with the headshots to keep constantly recharging your camo. If you're not then yes I agree the las fusil is much better.
I like Laz on Sniper due to able to take some Minoris for free, big burst of dmg to Majoris from camo and good dmg on Terminus. Fast execute Extremis feel nice. Stalker is okay, but camo amp last for a shot AFAIK so, I'll go for Laz.

But Stalker on Tactical feel more rip and tear. Scan them and tear those Majoris down. Termins and Boss cry in agony from Stalker rapid tab. (I know GL is better, but keep it for another day)

For build, I prefer to have more control over dmg since miss a shot or slower aim/control is a huge lose. I opt for more dmg later once the Stalker are more tame to use.
Same for Laz with more ammo relic since it better for me who like to shoot more at minoris and enjoy refund, more relax gunplay.

Can wee please stop with this argument like it is worth anything? You can rip and tear with most weapon whenever target has auspex on.

Takes a lot more work to get it close to the Las Fusil but it can in fact be done. Try it.
I just don't see the point in discussion when you have a melta / las fusil in their current state.
