new vanilla 'update' files replacing your existing files would explain why this broke alot of game mechanics, why EOS was not batched to run with the new update, why keybinds were wiped etc etc....
i dont know if this is the case in this company, but sometimes the 'patch team' isnt even working from the current game version, there working on the new version from some internal test version, so when the 'patch' roles out, its doesnt have some of the current in game fixes, and that causes a reintroduction of problems that need to be fixed.
thats why a PTS is so important.
I had, I can change the lens color on my SM\CSM, graphics looks a bit better too but I didn't notice when the game got updated, I just launched it today and it works.
its looking thru 20 gigs of files for things it needs to update. that doesnt mean its actually downloading 20 gigs.
