Ultramarine champion pack

I already own the standard edition of the game, I thought about getting the season pass but I heard that Ultramarine champion pack is exclusive to Ultra edition. So now I have to buy another copy to get that or will they release the champion pack separately?

if you want a guarantee of getting said champion pack you do need to buy the Ultra edition. afaik they haven't announced one way or another whether they are eventually releasing that champion pack separately. that said unless said champion skin is the only skin you will ever use for the Heavy it's probably not worth worrying about imo.

edit: apparently Saber either implied or outright confirmed that the ultramarines champion pack is always going to be Ultra edition exclusive. that being the case I really wish they'd remove the "buy dlc prompt" from the skin in game but it is what it is.

I dont even understand why they dont let me just upgrade to ultimate version. If i would buy it now i would pay 60 bucks for a skin, wouldnt even get a copy of the game or the season pass.

I just take solace in the fact that they locked the single worst kind of cosmetic in the game behind the ultra edition rather than something I'd actually care about like a chapter or cosmetic pack. being able to pick my own colors is a big deal for me.

True, i would only buy it for the sake of having it, so its nothing really important. Still weird, i guess they havent figured out how to upgrade yet, because thats something i havent seen before here on steam.

Yeah that's pretty true, I just wanted to have if for the sake of collection but yeah that skin is quite forgettable. Thanks for confirming that.

No, there are upgrades, The one that comes to my mind the quickest is Black Myth: Wukong. It definitely has a option to upgrade to deluxe edition, a lot of games do. It's just SM2 is not one of them I guess.

Yeah, thats what i meant. Most other games have figured out how upgrading works, just SM 2 doesnt, which is something i havent seen before. I mean, its definetly some kind of upgrade because they wouldnt give me anything more than the skin but i still would need to pay the full ultimate price.

So what's happening with the Champion Pack ultimately? There is no option to upgrade to ultra edition, there is no option to buy it separately and there is no offer to buy the whole ultra edition anymore on steam. (unless i'm blind).
Why have a in-game prompt saying "Get DLCs" when there is no way to get it?!?!?!

I guess you are blind because there is an option to buy the Ultra Edition on the Steam store page for the game. and if you want there to be even a 1% chance of getting the "get DLC" prompt removed bring it up on the official forums on Focus Together as I don't believe the devs look at the Steam forums.
