GPU, albeit dated, is also just fine, it is well beyond the minimum specs which mention the rx580/1060.
1080ti is way more powerful than those.
2060 is 1 generation ahead of the 1080ti, but part of the 60 series which is the mid end series, while the 1080ti is the highest consumer grade card before the prosumer variants.
Yeah I saw the Specs and i'm probably somewhere in the middle of the Min and Recommended, but some games you want to really run well. I'm just not confident that this game (Which looks demanding) Will give me the FPS I'd want with the reasonably pretty graphics settings lol. Not to mention its probably not optimised yet.
If a 1060 is rated for 1080p low 30, then a 1080 should be able to pump over 60 fps easily. How the game looks at lower settings is unknown at this time though, but cutting the shadows, but having higher textures often is a reasonable compromise to be made.
Just experiment with what are resource hogs until you like what you see & or refund before you go over 2 hrs playtime. (if I where you forget about tying to play at 1440p)
only way You are going to know for sure at this point is to test what works best on you're rig.
the beta is optimised (from what I could see) .... But those that have a press release copy had at min 3090's gpu up to high end 4090 gpu's with high end cpu's etc, running the game at 4k .
The biggest worry about running this game smoothly is with what kind of Cpu you have & You have a Good one ! no drama there.
Youre Gpu is no slouch either, all be it a lil old, but with decent power today ! .( just turn anything to do with Ray tracing off !) As you should know by now ;) .
I Cant see you're Gpu being much of a bottle neck @ 1080P with the Right Configuration settings in Game.
I think you're good to go bro .
Your optimistic if you think 1080TI will run this smoothly. I'm on that card and theres a big reason why I'm not picking this game up :)
I'm not expecting miracles lol, I just want 1080p 60fps at Medium to high. But i'm seriously doubting i'll get even that
I'm on a 1660TI and just hoping I can get reliable performance on any graphics settings. Gameplay is gonna be the main draw for me
Yeah its gonna be a bit of a close call for us I think. My 1080ti is a more powerful card than the 1660ti I think and i'm not confident, so I can imagine how your feeling.
Huh, I guess it went over my head. Thought the 1660TI was better (though I also didn't do any proper research), so that's nice to know. Well, let's hope for the best! I can run BG3 on Ultra and HD2 on medium so hopefully I can run it on low
In general in raw power the 1080Ti is about 5% better on average
so you should be able to run it smoothly
This video gives me a bit more confidence, but in this video the guy is rocking an absolute monster CPU. I'm thinking its just going to be a case of buy the game, try the settings and see how it goes and then if its not working out, refund within the 2 hour mark.
