PVP just why?
Dude people wont play this game for PVP when they literally have so many better option like wtf are these devs thinking and there are way to many PVP games for anyone to want to even take the PVP seriously in this game so why even waist time and resources when they can instead just make the PVE way better and shine way brighter.
Im calling it right now after 1 week or 2 of the release and this games PVP will have maybe 300 players if even that.
Better yet why not use them resources and time to make a PVP focused game instead? I mean Battlefield is dying because EA likes to kill all of there titles that do not have loot boxes and thats a huge untapped market right now because of how many people want a amazing game that's like Battlefield and even the game Squad and i could easly see a Warhammer based one do very well as long as you Devs pull through and make it something that people can enjoy and call it there home for that kind of Genre.

These Devs need to leave the PVP to the actual PVP games like COD, Apex, Counter strike, Valorant, and many more and yes im talking about shooter PVP games not any others.
PVP just why? Let me break it down for you. PVP adds depth, replayability, and a competitive edge that keeps players coming back long after they’ve mastered the PVE content. Sure, there are other PVP games out there, but that doesn’t mean every game should stick to a single formula. Variety is what makes a game community thrive offering both PVE and PVP gives players the choice to engage in different styles of gameplay.

You’re underestimating the potential here. Just because this game isn’t COD or Apex doesn’t mean it can’t carve out its own niche in the PVP space. Dismissing it outright shows a lack of imagination and understanding of what makes a game dynamic and enduring. The devs know what they’re doing by offering PVP, they’re broadening the game’s appeal and giving players more reasons to stick around. So instead of writing it off, maybe give it a shot. You might be surprised by how many players are ready to embrace the challenge.

I dunno, with COD6 on the horizon, it may hurt the PvP of SM2 as pretty much everyone will be playing either carlofdoody6 or baseketball2K25.

I see your concern, but let's be real COD6 is already plagued with cheaters in the beta, and every new release seems to just bring more of the same. If the only people playing it are cheaters, that doesn’t exactly make it the best alternative. The constant cycle of cheaters and frustration with every new installment means it might not be the competition you think it is. As for SM2, it has the chance to offer something different and potentially more engaging for players who are tired of the same old issues with other franchises. Sometimes a fresh approach is exactly what’s needed to stand out in a crowded field.

SM1 PvP died in 1 month or so, after that point lobbies (if you was lucky to find them) were mostly empty

Just stop lying mate ;)

OP, you know what those other PvP games are not....the best looking 40k 3rd person action shooter there is! I think PvP will be fine :)
Silhouette Sep 4, 2024 @ 6:40pm
Because fans asked for it and the developers were total bosses for adding it.
Next question.

You don't get it, unless a game meets a specific number for activity, it's dead. It doesn't matter that there are still people right this moment playing SM1 PvP.

Peoples like you are the problem of gaming forums and community !

Why PVP ? Because its fun chalenging and rewarding .. Space marine 1 main feature was its PVP it had very little horde mode like COOP that almost no ones played the campaign was barely 5 hours .. And PVP was the reason the game existed ..

PVE coop games are numerous and all over the internet .. Darktide , vermintide 1 and 2 , Back for blood , Killingfloor , Payday , Destiny 2 , Warframe , lord of fallen , Helldivers 2 , Galactic rock , Deathwing space hulk , The first descendant , Borderlands 1 2 3 and 1/2 ' Remnants 2 etc..etc..etc...

And i could go on and on and on ... for ages about PVE and COOP games that have little to no PVP and are PVE focus ... you have pletora of games like this .. Having 1 COD per years and some questionable Firefall/overwatch clones dosnt make lots of PVP games

Good PVP games can be counted on 1 hand and new PVP 3rd person game are practically unexistant .. SO YEAH WE WANT A SPace marine PVP game

The Anti PVP poeples who are mad at pvp because they are bad at it or because they cant accept being beaten by other real humans is kinda of a bad trope at this point ..

If you hate PVP then dont play the game and go play the Billions of others PVE games there is in this world
TsudaTumiko Sep 4, 2024 @ 7:06pm
I will prefer a horde mode instead
Sigmar Sep 4, 2024 @ 7:26pm
to all the people screeching about "how dare they put pvp in this *I* dont want pvp, therefore it shouldnt be there".......piss off
the first game had pvp that was done fairly well and to this day has a dedicated playerbase, you are not the target audience and will not be missed if you and the other 5 of you are hellbound to boycott this game...
to everyone else.....
I'LL SEE YOU ON THE FIELD OF BATTLE!!!! ONWARD BROTHERS!!!!

1 month? Yeah no brother, if that was the case what was the hype for BE to make Eternal Crusade off the back the success of Space Marine.

Bruh, I doubt you were even playing the games now.

It's getting one.

Yeah, because asking for less things in a 6 hours long game is very constructive.
I find it especially funny how you go on and compare the pvp in a cinematic rpg shooter that's more on the casual side against some of the more hardcore pvp centric shooters. Why stop here? Why not go on and complain that the PvE isnt on par with the Elden Ring DLC?
I for one am looking forward to any kind of engaging content, on both PvE and PvP side.
HERETIC Sep 4, 2024 @ 7:54pm
lol speak for yourself. i will be, same reason i and many others played space marine 1
vXViper Sep 4, 2024 @ 8:03pm
dude I want this game for the PVP.. Other pvp games are just meta ♥♥♥♥ fests, This might be too but we will have a few good week or two before that happends and the game gets stale as always when people figure out the meta and just listen for what others say they should do or play as.
