PVP just why?
Dude people wont play this game for PVP when they literally have so many better option like wtf are these devs thinking and there are way to many PVP games for anyone to want to even take the PVP seriously in this game so why even waist time and resources when they can instead just make the PVE way better and shine way brighter.
Im calling it right now after 1 week or 2 of the release and this games PVP will have maybe 300 players if even that.
Better yet why not use them resources and time to make a PVP focused game instead? I mean Battlefield is dying because EA likes to kill all of there titles that do not have loot boxes and thats a huge untapped market right now because of how many people want a amazing game that's like Battlefield and even the game Squad and i could easly see a Warhammer based one do very well as long as you Devs pull through and make it something that people can enjoy and call it there home for that kind of Genre.

The original had Pvp.

its not ment to be the primary focus its just another mode to enjoy.
PVP in the original was fun.

So if you dont like it ignore it.

and i doubt it'll be 100 players alot of people still play space marines 1 pvp now.
For the original game PVP had quite a few people playing it for a long time after launch. Even after they added the survival mode in later it still had more people on the PVP mode. I personally will not be touching the PVP for SM2, but I can see why they brought it back

If you think the PvP mode is not going to get activity then idk what to tell you, you're just wrong.

SM1 PvP died in 1 month or so, after that point lobbies (if you was lucky to find them) were mostly empty

SM1 also didn't have nearly as much marketing or attention on it. Hell, I didn't even know it came out until its multiplayer cycle was done.

im generally against all things pvp, i just dont get into it, and it always seems to be filled with the most toxic ♥♥♥♥ (all my experience in every fromsoft game), however i will be playing the pvp in space marines 2.

SM1 PvP was what kept the game alive through those long 13 years, they certainly weren't putting hundreds or thousands of hours into the PvE.

Nah, I know a lot of people who still to this day played Exterminatus. I'm in a few different groups that still have people who put out calls for it.

Wrong, coop survival was still active at least a year after release. Including coop in chaos DLC where you played for CSM.

Same in Dawn of War 2, lots of people played coop survival, but PvP matches were somewhat troublesome to find.

Okay, we get it. YOU don't like PVP. Some of us do and like the addition of such mode.

Just don't play it then, simple as.

Declaring any game feature dead on arrival before the game is released is pretty foolish.

If the PvP is fun, well done, and a community of players forms around it, then it will thrive. We won't know if that happens until well after it comes out.

I know the first thing I'm going to do when the game drops after I've had some time with the campaign is drop into a PvP match and attempt to parry

I'm gonna look like one of those Elden Ring arena noobs who just carries a buckler right into the start of the match and just mashes the parry button for probably at least an hour, until I figure out if there's parries in PvP and how they work
