SPOILERS - the whole thing about Titus
So it's pretty confirmed at this point, Titus is a disgraced fugitive who runs away from the Inquisition and gets saved by the Ultramarines.

Honestly, I wonder why they don't just go full Deathwatch instead of Ultramarines, it would make even more sense considering all the class gameplay and cosmetics and the enemy is Tyranid.

The Ultramarines harboring a fugitive seems kinda ...eh.

Not my Titus!

I don't think Titus is a fugitive . . more than likely the ultramarines got so sick of leandros that they handed 'em to the inquisition and traded him for Titus
Titus is not and never was a fugitive.

Leandros is the ultramarines 2nd company Chaplain that acts as your handler throughout the game, and was tasked by Calgar to specifically monitor Titus just in case he is corrupted after all.

This is complete nonsense.

Titus was in prison for about 100 years, then black shield deathwatch for another 100, and the only reason he was for so long is because Calgar thought he was dead the whole time.

He's not a fugitive, and was cleared of all charges multiple times, in fact they could not even find anything on him in the first place but told everyone he was dead to hide the existence of the artifact.
Why the secrecy to hide his history with the Deathwatch then?

No, wait. That's par for the course for about 98% of Warhammer 40k media. Good people truly are the exception in Warhammer 40k.

More like good people which have only bad choices to choose from.
No matter what they do, someone else (or planets/sytems in the Imperiums case) will die horribly.

This muh bad guys vs. good guys moralising ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ can be left for later when humanity's survival is at stakes.

I think the thread does explain how Titus gets to where he is now. My only complaint is really his whole deal with Calgar, and I really don't see the need to hide Titus's history within the Ultramarines itself, if he's a good boy, he deserves to be known.

Being a Blackshield usually means, you whish to atone for something until you are worthy to regain your chapters colors and heraldry or at least can continue your service towards the Imperium and Emperor.

Even renegades can be accepted as a Blackshield, so long they haven´t done really horrible ♥♥♥♥.

I suppose you have a point.

Yeah, dunno what's going on with Calgar, but I suppose the game will explain everything better somewhere in the campaign, I hope.

Lol this post is completely wrong. I've played the leak, this is not how the game starts at all. Titus starts as a member of Deathwatch on an official sanctioned mission (with other Deathwatch marines) and then gets reinstated as an Ultramarine after he almost dies. Other Ultramarines (including your new squad) are fully aware of his past.

Thread over. Stop the stupid speculation.

The whole deal in Space Marine 1 was that he resisted a lot of "warp stuff" that most people would die or lose their minds from. Generally speaking if someone is overly resistant to the warp it can mean a few things and some of them are VERY BAD. Some people are just naturally resistant though, especially if you're REALLY determined since the warp does bend somewhat to thoughts and wills.

Kinda wish it was a Deathwatch game instead.
Deathwatch got some pretty rads gears.

But then our boy titus "warp resistant" won't be the main focus there since DW is all about that Xenos, not Chaos.
