The future of this game is one update every 2 months that culminates in having to pay $20+ dollars for the privilege of new paints and decals.
There's a roadmap, even YT vids covering it. Check it out.

Given all the major content we're getting is completely free you're laughably wrong.

I mean... 'major' content? Unless Horde mode is fun, the total content will barely reach 'minor'. It really is not much if you consider the length of dev time spent. This is not a tiny company. XD

I don't think Saber expected SM2 to pop off as hard as it did. SM2 came at EXACTLY the right time, staying true to an IP which was undergoing some turmoil right on the cusp of a zeitgeist shift. I think it's a massive win, and I'm happy for their success, but there's also a part of me which thinks they probably weren't prepared for exactly how successful they were and the implications of having such a large, thirsty playerbase moving forward.

They've got a timeline for future content which I'm excited for, but I just hope they do it justice. Give them time. Let the devs cook.

Tell me you don't understand licence sign-off processes, without telling me...

Ageed.
It's simple. Pvp is the only future. You beat the operations X times and you're done with them, maybe you will come back for a run or two from time to time but PVP never gets old, even if there was only 1 map.

You don't even own the game, heretic

The future?
We all know that in the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.

Tell me you don't understand about companies not accomplishing their goals and ditching games or going out of business, without telling me...
The only content that counts is in the game we can play.

dont mind the salt. the game is doing great and the devs have released a lot of free content since launch with even more coming soon.

Aye brother, I can't wait for horde mode to drop, if it wouldn't kill the performance i'd hope for them to make the corpses never vanish so i and my battle brothers can stand atop a mountain of tyranid dead but sadly i feel such a thing is impossible.
