"loading resources" is making this game unplayable
a loading screen that takes 2 min is okay. but a 3-5 min timer back to back after every quest and loading screen just makes me not want to play
verified files and have sm2 on 3tb ssd

ye loading is this game is very poor.
Every time I turn on the game I need to wait 2 mins for it to get to the title screen. Then I need to wait 3-4 mins for it to tell me "Disconnected from the server" and it boots me to the battle barge but if I play at this point, the game will crash during a mission. I need to back out to the title screen and spend another 3-4 mins to load back in. THEN I can play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. I didnt have to do this the first 2 weeks the game launched and the fact it's still a problem after several months, despite how much money the game has made, is unacceptable of a triple A title.

I was about to try to help but you at the end smashed all my cards out of my hand by saying you already have it on SSD.

So I write this comment just to make your thread up. I hope you find solution, I struggle as well but with connection/server issues so I know the pain.
For reference: my game loads 20-30 seconds.

rofl WAT freak
Ew it's you.
this guy literally lives between the walls of a public restroom at his local mall, he's well known in the local community. Please disregard anything he says, he's got substance abuse issues and declining mental health.

Do not give him money, if he asks for money for food or w.e. just buy it for him, as he will use the money on illegal substances if given the chance.
I do not have the best hardware and it takes 30 secconds at most. Its not a them problem, its a YOUR HARDWARE problem which exists with every game if your specs are poor enough. If its taking 3-5 minutes you need to figure out what is wrong with your system.

3-5 minutes sounds extreme. You sure there isn't something going on with your hardware? What's your system specs? Like people are saying mine is loading up 30 seconds or so if even that. 3-5min seems awfully long.

Could also be a configuration issue, ie network configuration, graphics configuration, or as you said, hardware limitations, etc. etc., just giving my 2 cents.

You identifed the problem already.

SSD...

Most of us with 20-30 second loads are on NVME because speeds on those are 5-10 times faster than the max 600mb/s a SSD offers.

In short... a SSD is basically just a street car (HDD) with a racing stripe, a NVME is a dragster.

If you want faster loads, upgrade into this decade.

I disagree, my steam games all run from my D drive which is an SSD dedicated to games, and I also have pretty fast load times; this is not limited to nvme.

I am not saying SSD is unusable.

I am saying to OP that if they want faster load times, a NVME is the only option here.

HDD takes 10 minutes to load (if it does).
SDD takes 3-5 mins to load (according to the OP).
NVME takes 30 seconds.
Not sure but I see a lot of people mentioning some ridiculous loading times (2-3-4 minutes). It seems to be something on the hardware side, likely an older/slower ssd. I'm loading in about 15 seconds.

If they are referring to just after a game patch or driver update, then the rebuilding the shaders portion does take alot longer than usual, but should be a one and done (per update of course). A once in a while long load for shaders wouldn't make a post like this make sense.

very true
Op raises a very relevant topic. And there is no point in blaming him. The problem is the unprofessionalism of the developers. They were unable to optimize the game. And then the head manager simply added a line in the Steam store "SSD required" and said with a grin: "now optimization is not our problem."

Have you seen games that require an SSD lately? I'm sure you would have laughed two years ago. And we understand perfectly well why games now require Windows 11, SSD drives, etc. Because you-know-who just comes to developers and says: "I want people to buy my new operating system. So raise the demands. Stop support. Deny access. Here's a suitcase of money - fulfill it."

Remember the latest games of the Doom series. The graphics there are not much different from the subject. But they worked without an SSD, without Windows 11 and without extra costs. Doesn't that surprise you?

You can call me a fantasist. And it will sound doubly funnier coming from people who put a saucepan on their head, hold a toy water pistol in their hands and imagine themselves as space marines.

Op is not your enemy. Your enemy is greedy corporations and corrupt developers. And as proof - this post will be banned and deleted. And the moder who does this will agree with me in his heart.
