ironically the only thing in their armory that can truly be called unique is their vast amounts of chaos corrupted relics....
All those "Bloody Magpies" and "Gifts" from other Chapters and Custodes jokes aside, they could add Breast plates and Pauldrons with their Chaptersymbol on it.
DoW II had a handful of those if I remember correctly.
yeah the force commander had the blood raven instead of the imperialis on the chest, so that could work; the pauldrons can already be made in game
No surprise since Dawn of War 1 introduced many into the 40k Universe, me included.
Can´t say the same about their Novels sadly, mainly those who cover the Campaigns of DoW 1 and 2. They are honestly pretty underwhelming.
Never touched the Dawn of War 3 novel but I know it exist.
Clearly ALL the cosmetics in the game are Blood Raven chapter relic's.
real and true......
Yes, very much a surprise.
There is a reason why everyone calls them Blood Magpies and not Blood Ravens. They are the butt of the joke, not because they are this beloved chapter, but because of how ridiculous they are.
Underwhelming is charitable. They outright break the lore with Tyranid Gaunts being impervious to heavy bolter fire. They are CS Goto levels of lore breaking.
Or fast tracking a young Guardsman through the Gene seed augmentation despite being to old to survive the process but somehow made it through if we ignore that one hand was tentacle like.
Or they jump into the Warp on board of a Thunderhawk without a Gellarfield and somehow entered the Webway alive and well because that makes sense.
But then again, previosly the operation to turn firstborn into primaris also had 5% success rate, but look how many characters survived it. Titus included.
Not that i want to defend CS Goto or anything. But it is the least of his failures.
agree DOW 1 was my entrypoint to the warhammer 40k universe for me. and the blood raven will always held a special place in my heart.
Hahahahahaahhahahaha. That's a good one.
but no, I still remember DoW3 and they have not yet redeemed themselves for that.
DoW 3 was such a hot mess tbh.
- Frontflipping Angelos in Termi Armor!
- Oversimplified covermechanics like those stupid Bubble Shields.
- No Sync Kills.
- ONE Gamemode (Power Core) , Annihilation came way to late and after much complaints from the Fanbase.
- barley a dozen maps, only 2 or 3 official maps came later, which were further divided into 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4(?).
And of top of that, basic things like grenades, firing while moving and turrets are locked behind doctrines. EXCUSE ME????
