Why so little content update
It kills because I love playing this game. But like so many have said before me they really need to add more content. Personally, I noticed this around Halloween when they flopped on what in my opinion could of been a slam dunk. Trick or Treat event with Tzeentch/Nurgle faction or mission updates. With Emperors children getting more added to the table top I hope to see some Slanesh stuff added around Valentines day (won't probably happen). Just seems like an overall lack of passion to have us sitting around for months only to be given a new skin or operation, with no multiplayer map or game add ins. Hell, make a Fat-man game mode where one team has a dreadnought player per round with a squad of 4 SM. These guys have the ingredients, wish they would cook.

This is arguably the best Warhammer 40k game to drop since Dawn of War released in 2004. It's an immense undertaking in attention to detail and does an awesome job at representing just a glimpse of the unending well that is the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

There is a lot that the team at Saber can draw from, but it isn't as simple as many would think. A community update should be dropping shortly and a roadmap is already posted, so we know what to expect.

You and I both love this game, we just need to be a little patient. They nailed this game and if we give the developers time, they will undoubtely cook.

Darktide.

Darktide is rad, I wouldn't say it isn't. The environments, soundtrack, and overall vibe is sick. I'm a huge fan of Vermentide 2, so Darktide is up there as one of the greats for me - but it's just a different slice of 40k.

"Arguably" would be correct. There are at least three vastly superior 40K titles Between DoW and SM2. Six or seven, if you cheat and include Space Hulk and other spin off ips.

What would the 6-7 games you are thinking of? Would love to try the best 40K games

Action wise, Darktide, Space Marine 1, Space Hulk: Deathwing,Dakka Squadron and the excellent Boltgun are undoubtedly the cream of the crop. There was one based on Necromunda (40K spin off), a bit back but I never played it. That side of the universe has never appealed to me tbh. Those with rose tinted spectacles like to recite Fire Warrior. But I can't see it aging well. It was rough, THEN lol....

Either way all these can be pretty much superceded by Space Marine Augmented. Endless Mode Exterminatus with bots is simply the greatest thing to happen to 40K action games in the last decade.

Then it'll be all RTS and TBS stuff like Mechanicus, Armageddon, Battle Sector, Sanctus Reach. Folk speak highly of Gladius but I've never played it. Then there's Gothic Armada 1 & 2 both of which reviewed very well and again never played.

Space Hulk Ascension and Space Hulk Tactics. Both personal favourites. Though you will have to resort to piracy if you want Ascension. It's now off licence so is unfortunately, unavailable for purchase.

And just this last 12 months there's been the likes of Chaos Gate and Rogue Trader...
