PSA - Do not use the Astartes Overhaul 3.0 mod

Just so nobody else falls victim to this garbage mod.

It sets weapons that cannot be cleared if you remove the mod. So it permanently locks you out if you uninstall it.

Stay away from this crap. Unless you like losing your hundred hour account because some scumbag modder needs every class with a shield and a main gun.

Most recent update broke mods in general and most ( if not all ) will force us into offline mode now. On top of that Astartes isn't in working order after the update. Join their discord for updates but they're working on it. No ETA.

actual game updates breaks all mods, thats just how it goes as you know

im sure the team was surprised by the sudden update date, id imagine they expected middle of feb for it to drop, that being said, theyll have an updated one out soon

also yes check every week or so for mod updates, as AO does its own natural updates for improvement reasons even if the game doesnt update

BTW, I had this issue, and I was able to fix it, by locating the SM2 files in the file explorer, uninstalling the game, and deleting any files lingering in file explorer afterwords.
I have not had any issues since then and all of my characters and cosmetics are still good.

y'all ever think "i'm gonna back up my save data before altering it and turn off the steam cloud? OR just make a family share account that is seperate from the main account you can switch to for mods. just some thoughts...

Mate, just reinstall the mod, set your loadouts back to vanilla, then uninstall. If you had taken 2 seconds to consider your problem, and think of a solution, instead of getting angry and wanting to vent, you could've saved yourself a headache.

this, thx for mentioning. its kind of sad how people post these agressive threads about a group that has put a lot of their spare time into this mod to make everyones game better. People should consider that its a free mod but it cost the creators a lot of time and energy. Be more appreciative.
