A More Inclusive Future for Space Marine 2?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been a huge fan of Warhammer 40K for years, and I’m really excited by Space Marine 2! The gameplay is incredible, and the devs have clearly put a lot of effort into making this the best possible experience.

That said, I was wondering—given how customizable Space Marines can be in lore (with different chapters, color schemes, heraldry, etc.)—wouldn’t it be awesome if Space Marine 2 allowed players to create a chapter that reflects more diverse identities?

For example, a chapter that embraces a more progressive philosophy—perhaps one that openly accepts LGBTQ+ Marines or even a chapter where female Astartes are a thing (maybe as a secret offshoot of the Adeptus Astartes)? There are already homebrew chapters with unique origins, so it would be cool if the game gave us the option to explore that kind of customization.

What do you guys think? Wouldn’t it be great if Space Marine 2 let us push the boundaries of the 40K universe a little bit?

Still waiting on Chaos Customization for SM2, everything is secondary lmao.

No point as Space Marines have no preference regarding partner as all of those desires (chemically castrated) are removed when they become Astartes.
As for female Space Marines again no point they would essentially appear the same as the males with all the growth hormones and surgeries an Astartes goes through.
They could perhaps add a Sister of Battle but the game is called Space Marine so perhaps this game is not the place for it.

respectfully, no. why would they add that? the point of the game is the power fantasy of being a genetically modified killing machine. Injecting polarizing political ideology into a scene that does not need it would be a poor idea. Not to mention, why would space marines, literal killing machines that have no need for sexuality wear pride flags? its a bad idea all around.
