A More Inclusive Future for Space Marine 2?
Hey everyone,

I’ve been a huge fan of Warhammer 40K for years, and I’m really excited by Space Marine 2! The gameplay is incredible, and the devs have clearly put a lot of effort into making this the best possible experience.

That said, I was wondering—given how customizable Space Marines can be in lore (with different chapters, color schemes, heraldry, etc.)—wouldn’t it be awesome if Space Marine 2 allowed players to create a chapter that reflects more diverse identities?

For example, a chapter that embraces a more progressive philosophy—perhaps one that openly accepts LGBTQ+ Marines or even a chapter where female Astartes are a thing (maybe as a secret offshoot of the Adeptus Astartes)? There are already homebrew chapters with unique origins, so it would be cool if the game gave us the option to explore that kind of customization.

What do you guys think? Wouldn’t it be great if Space Marine 2 let us push the boundaries of the 40K universe a little bit?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

I think these clown farms have been boring for a few months now. Could you maybe get some new material?

Don't need to push the boundaries of the 40k universe, it already incorporates everything under the sun... and i am not going to steal the thunder of the much cooler Adepta Sororitas just because some tourist professes to be interested in "diversity" for the sake of trolling people they oppose politically.

Nah, you are just here baiting outrage, you aren't looking for a serious conversation.

Fortunately for you, there still seem to be people that award these post with steam points and thus encourage the creation of these troll posts.

It's sad that neither Steam nor the forum moderators do anything about all these woke, anti-woke, DEI, LGBT, etc. posts and clown-farm posts. They clutter up every community hub and discussion, and actual posts about the game get buried under all this nonsense.

It is like trying to stem the tide in an ocean of feces. As long as Valve awards people with Steam Points for Avatars and such, by receiving "awards", people will continue to fish for easy clown or slow clap awards.

And political subjects like these are driven by enough people with ideological blinders on to seal clap or get outraged by them to make them easy to farm.

In short, it is not gonna stop.

1. Space marines are already part of the LGBTQIA+ even, since space marines are all asexual (they are psychologically and chemically castrated as part of becoming space marines).

2. As they are all asexual any other form sexuality can't be present, including being straight.

3. Female space marines are impossible in the current lore.

If you go with the universe at large there are plenty of inclusivity (As in everyone, except mutants, xenos, etc, are worth the exact same regardless of sexuality, that being nothing at all, life is cheap, its a grim dark setting), just not in the space marine faction specifically.

It is amazing how you seem to be privy to internal communications inside Valve. Any news when we'll be seeing Halflife 3?

Improbable, not impossible.

There are 2 unknown Primarchs and the Admech could easily change the XY requirement to an XX requirement. (we know the Admech is able to gene edit, as they not only screen the DNA for defects, but also modified them for the cursed founding)

But doing so would heavily infringe on the Adepta Sororitas. Female Space Marines would kill the Sororitas faction.

Heres what happened.

A while back, someone spammed forums with this stuff, and they got closed by a mod and banned.

Some gaming journalism site made a huge fuss about steam censoring lgbt threads and having a bias, which resulted in valve putting out an internal memo to its mod teams saying that lgbt focused threads were legit and not to be treated as spam or baiting.

The result is what you see now, where every forum has daily lgbt threads from obvious bait accounts, but no action is taken, resulting in a new trolling meta.
Well theres some Game Communityhubs where this garbage gets taken down like in War Thunder

Absolutely not. Worst idea ever. They should only focus on what makes the game good, and not injecting woke ideology into things.

google "emperors children 40k", what you want to custom make for has existed for like two decades at least

a "huge fan of 40K for years" should know this, but hey, it is the internet after all

to add on to this, im 100% certain the warp has gender swapped some heretic astartes somewhere at least once, especially factoring in slaanesh

so again, emperors children; existed for years, liked by many, go paint some or whatever, literally no one at a tabletop game will give it a second thought when you explain that archimxdxs the zxy, zxrm got gender swapped 1643249151325215 times by warp magic and now has the sexual organs of a kamov ka-52 "alligator"

Either a troll post just to gain points, or you have not read one single novel or book, or even seen a lore video about the world and setting you suggest this for.
