Heavy Perk: Overwhelming Power vs Versatility
Which one of these should I use? One grants you a 10% damage buff aura within a 10m radius, but only when Iron Halo is active. The other is basically a constant 20% damage buff when you have the Plasma Pistol out.

Guess that depends on your Playstile and preferred Primary Weapon.

I use mostly Heavy Bolter and Heavy Plasma with frequent use of the Iron Halo to shield myself when in heavy stance.
Plasmapistol is my backup when the primary is overheated or empty.

Therefor Overwhelming Power is my go to perk.

However, I could see some use for Versatility when using the Multimelta because it´s short range makes you switch more often to your sidearm to disrupt call ins or fight ranged enemies like Warriors with Venom Cannons or Zoan/ Neurothropes.

Im happy with 10% bonus ranged dmg while halo is active.

Works for all weapons, works for nearby team mates. And combined with other perk which gives you 15% bonus dmg when halo is on cooldown, if you make good use of it, you are in a constant loop of either 10% of 15 % dmg bonus.
I am probably the only one here using Overcharge instead lol

Overwhelming Power for me.
The real damage come from your primary anyway, you should only pull out plasma pistol to regen primary ammo from the perk and break warrior guard anyway,

Of those two perks? Secondary buff, every time. The 10% aura is nice, but 10m is not very far in game - are you really going to be consistently that close to your teammates? Assault, Bulwark and Vanguard are never going to consistently be that close, and won't care that much about ranged anyway. Sniper and Tactical possibly, but it's situational. If you were dishing out damage to a Terminus boss it would make a massive difference and I would absolutely want it then - but that's far too situational for me.

havent checked the tooltip recently?
its charged melee attacks only, so your first stomp
and it doesnt even get you over the threshold for killing gaunts with it

The description says all Squadmembers, which should include you as well.

The damage buff aura every time. When Halo is active you and potentially squad mates get a nice 10% bonus, when it's on cooldown you get 15% damage bonus instead. Moreover I don't use the secondary much as heavy primary weapons are so good.

That 15% damage buff is a seperate perk called Brute Force.

Obviously. It's not like there's really a choice in that column.
Does this perk apply to player or only to other squad members?
