Your idea of what a majority of players (specifically the tac gl ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥) may be influenced by the number of console players you see,.
Turn off crossplay, and you will see less of that unfun for everyone class/gun config.
Vanguard, Assault, and Sniper don't need buffs.
With sniper, i kill most of the majoris, have the same ranged damage as the heavy but half the kills, that is due to priority targets.
I do not really enjoy playing as vanguard, love assault though.
That is true now that I think about it. When I see a GL tactical on the team for the most part they are on console. Not always of course, but definitely a majority of the time.
It can give balanced weapons increased parry window that compares to fencing weapons and they generally have better stats. They're the only class that can heal themselves, they have pretty good weapons and ofc the melta to keep things staggered forever. I don't really see the melta as much anymore really but I figured I'd mention that, I don't personally use it much. It's Q allowing you to engage majors from a distance, stunning them and basically putting them in execution range before they can really fight back with the right combos. I find it a pretty strong class that is really only held back by people who can't handle a cqc class with 2 armor bars. I still don't see this as much of a hindrance to the class to say it would need buffs.
I think the higher skill cap of trying to aim a gun without aim assist/with a really poor implementation of an aim assist (honestly not sure which situation the console version falls into on that)...
...results in console players who still think this a shooter with melee as an afterthought, instead of a melee game with some shooter elements...
..compensating for that incorrect assessment by using weapons where aim is almost unnecessary, or excessively overpowered (like the early melta meta).
