You can play offline perfectly (I mean it) with rewards and progression all the bells and whistles etc. BUT ANY PROGRESS OFFLINE DOES NOT TRANSFER TO ONLINE so if you do happen to go online it will reset to your most recent online progress. Your online progress is however applied and can be accessed offline.
Be sure to backup your offline save just in case - goto your users/"yourprofilename"/appdata/local/saber/storage and make a backup of your steam copy
Very simplified but think of it like diablo 2 (at least the old school one) where you could make an offline save for offline use but can't use it for online battlenet play
Edit: Only thing you can't play offline is eternal war which is pvp
Thanks, it is acceptable, because it sounds like I can still play when server’s down in the future.
ok, makes sense i suppose but what about steam cloud? does your offline progress save to the cloud in case you delete the game or the files corrupt? or are you just screwed on that
