Played Intro + chapter 1 with framegen, steady 120 fps with almost 0 drops, only some 108 here and there.
Then started an operation to see how online affects performance, steady 120 with a scout for the first mission until a bulwark joined with Dark Angel skin, reducing fps tu 100-110 when his sword was charged. So definitely working for my 10700kf + 4070Ti
Did you try to get Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling on ? I've read some threads mentionning that. Some people then complained about stuttering I couldn't notice. Maybe something to do with loading stuttering more intensive this way, leading to stutter when RAM or SSD can't catch up.
Anyway, not saying you're lying or doing something wrong. Just here to say "it works on my end even though my CPU is kinda old, I know the game is kinda spaghetti coding and that some user get serious unsolvable problems". Hope that HAGS may help.
Also for anyone reading : Below 16Gb VRAM, do not go for 4k texture pack, this is doomed. I'm not using it, playing QHD with 12Gb, this might in some extent explain your problem if you have it on.
Not sure about Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling, but I do have Smart Access Memory enabled and a slight overclock on my GPU enabled so theres definitely some issue on the games side. All of my other games run completely fine and it sounds like other people are noticing something is wrong with the upscaling as well
My apologies ! Given that the main feature going with DLSS 3 is Frame Gen, I thought you were having trouble with it as some player reported they had issue getting the usual double framerate.
From what I can tell, you're right, DLSS 3 isn't a big performance increase however, and this is strictly personnal, I find it a lot more sharper and accurate than before visually speaking.
I can run with quality DLSS or native with so little differences it's sometime hard to know which test screen is what.
With previous versions, even though I didn't had purchased the game, there where a lot of (legit) blurry image complaints.
To get more specific informations, I suggest you get the rivatuner osd and see how your hardware reacts to dlss.
For instance, even though my framerate was similar between native and DLSS, temps and power usage and charge for the GPU went down by a lot.
For me this is a clear benefit : i leave more room for moneyshot fights where GPU pray not to become prometheum.
Hope this will somehow help !
5.0 runs pretty smoothly with some rare framespikes here and there.(New Operation not that smooth as expected, but still ok)
DLSS was working all the time, like FG is working now if people choose to use it.
Im running around with 120 to 240 FPS on Ultra with the 4K Texture Pack. Inpputlag with FG enabled seems ok too.
So i dont know what people are thinking a new patch should bring to the table in terms of performance.
I run a Intel/Nvidia combo on an AMD sponsered titel completly fine, so there must be people running around with some pretty bloated and badly configurated systems, its not the engine itself.
Yes it not the best in terms of visual quality and FPS, but it is not that bad either.
If you find other incompetent pc gamers on forums or reddit doesn't solve or mean anything, if you have a decent system thats configured correctly the swarm engine does really well, considering how much detail there is and how much is going on somtimes.
