From all the classes how could they pick the most unfitting one? Any other would have been better, or just make another champion for the bulwark, or share the heavy with the Iron Hands champion if he ever comes. But having the Salamander is just nonesense.

Given that are 6 classes but 9 First Founding Chapters, I assume that at least 3 iconic Chapters from later Foundings will also be added to keep every class even.

First Founding Chapters still missing: Iron Hands, Space Wolves, White Scars, Imperal Fists, Blood Angels and Raven Guard.

Possible iconc later Founding Chapters: Black Templars, Lamenters, Minotaurs, Crimson Fists, Black Dragons etc.

The champion skins should just be skins that all classes can use.
They shouldn't be locked to a specific class.

The Heavy should be shared with Iron Hands and Imperial Fists. It was already a mistake to give Ultramarines the Heavy, they should have used Tactical and share it with Salamanders. Blood Angels and Raven Guard share Assault, Space Wolves and White Scars share Vanguard. Bulwark gets Dark Angels and Black Templar and Sniper is the only outliner which gets Raptors and Alpha Legion.

When to come to Salamander, it's the FLAMER so it's should be any class that can use melta.

Which is sure as hell not a sniper.

So you assume that the Salamanders Chapter doesn´t field Snipers at all?

Jokes aside, I know what you mean. They are most known for wielding all kinds of Flamers and Meltas and I would associate them more with Heavys and Tactical but oh well.

You know who is a proper Salamanders champion? None of the above mentioned. Its a terminator with thunder hammer and heavy flamer from the Firedrakes company.
Now BS aside. We have a list of known chapters running Vanguard formation. Salamanders are among them. Now we look at their chapter composition: 7th Company "The Sons of Nocturne" - command staff aside, consists of scouts and 12 Vanguard squads.

Can't win wars with purely one trick/tool you know and Salamander does win quite a bit.

But yeah, their heat weapon like flamer and melta usage are way more iconic for the Chapter image, Since it's literary in the name too

But is it what is it, not like anything can be change this late into the production now.

If they were really into lore they would have made the Salamander's have custom Melta skins... But alas some nimrod is in control as usual and just misses everything right. Very common these days with everything so easy to do, if they had a clue.

I'm kind of okay with them making a salamander sniper skin. What worries me is that they go on about: They have plans for tactical, so no, plans for ..., so no.
Means: 1 class 1 champion, no more, no less. Yeah, a lot of people like salamanders, but I bet they would rather wait for the next cycle of champion skins to get a more suitable salamander champion. But I guess that's not happening.

Actually, talking about fans, Games Workshop had found the most popular chapter long time ago. You know, the ones that got their own codicies from edition to edition. Aka Dark Angels, Space Wolves, Blood Angels and Black Templars. Everyone else are bottom feeders.
No idea why did devs had chosen the order that places BA and SW somewhere at the bottom of seasons.
