Not very good.
More like a one and done single player experience, you might replay it once or twice; but that'd be about it.
If I want some quick fun I play PVP. If I want to play for longer I go play operations. The Campaign is also replayable but its not something I feel like doing but thats just me.
Also, the coop mode requires only 3 players, making it a lot easier to find a good pair of people. The game averages 10k people online at most times so thats a very good number to make it easier to find a good team. I also live in a region thats a bit harder to find teammates for most games, but so far SM2 is just fine. Keep in mind that crossplay is available for XBox and Playstation too so that makes finding other players super easy as well.
PvE 8 operations 20-30 min, nothing will change each run, only enemy placement and sometimes boss can spawn
PvP have nothing to say, didn't play it
6 classes with weapons you can upgrade and cap of 25 lvl.
Replayability is subjective here, if you love gameplay, you will find motivation to play. But this is by no means life service like Helldivers 2
Basically, yeah. It's a quick experience if you're not into chasing achievements. I'm considering diving into online play, but I don't really have friends who are into these kinds of games.
I'm assuming there's an active discord community? Or is it completely dead?
Not good without coop.
Besides If you dont care about co-op too much you can get the Astartes mod and make the game quite alot better.
Co-op logged 500 hours.
PvP got bored very quickly.
PVP and PVE supposed to keep you going for a while after campaign and depending of what kind of player you are. you may spend another 10 or 100+ hours playing those mods.
For example: If you want to unlock absolutely every cosmetic option and upgrade absolutely all weapons for each class in PVE mode, you'll have to play and win 216 operations. Currently there are only 8 operations for PVE so if we want to keep things even. it's 27 times to replay each operation (which lasts 20-40 mins). Thats A LOT of tedious and grindy replayability. You can enjoy playing each mission 2-4 times, after that it becomes a chore.
Was bad enough doing it online with random people, but at least other players help to keep things somewhat fresh. Doing that solo with bots wold make the experience miserable.
I have 300 hours almost, but i dont think i'd stick with the game as long as i did without online coop.
I think the most value average solo player can extract from this game while enjoying his time is 20-30 hours or so, lets say 7 hours to beat campaign and 13-20 more hours to play each operation 2-3 times while trying different classes and weapons.
If you're only doing single player through I'd say about 2-3 playthroughs of the campaign each about 6-10 hours worth.
This is EXTRA replayable because the game is hard as f*** when you have nothing and trying to level up any of your utter trash garbage equipment is utter hell. The Heavy is damn near the only bot who's worth a damn and if a zoanthrope pair turns up while you're playing an Assault or Bulwark, you're just done with the session.
Campaign is quite short and linear so there isn't much to come back for the second time around and the PvE lack the basic of variation or more rng to keep things fresh longer.
If you done them once, that's kinda it.
I would say this is mostly a one and done kinda game that you might come back to once in a while, not the play "forever" kinda game.
