out of touch devs
imagine doing salamanders without a flamer, and a sniper no less.

It's an interesting pick for sure. They said they had plans for Raven Guard who seem more in-line for a sniper class, but not sure why they couldn't just move the Salamander to be another one like tactical beyond the given "reasons" excuse. Then they could have also introduced the flamer to PvE and given it a skin along with the Salamanders

saber has to go through gw before every step, so its not to crazy.
i was thinking salamanders would be vanguard because of the melta rifle and because the heavy was taken, so makes sens in the fact that salamanders are physically larger then most chapters the jetblack skin is inconic so giving them lighter smaller armor with a half mask makes more sense with out needed to add a bunch of stuff. i think the recon are going to be the iron hand and if the raven guard isn't assault or vanguard now i'm going to be sad

It's modern day dev brains at work, always give you the opposite of what you want under the title of being " creative "
Chapter known for getting stuck in with a flamer : Make it the sniper who sits back and doesn't have a flamer
Chapter known for stealth and tactics and not being seen : Make them the assault class, so they are really loud, jumpy and smashy

They know what you wanted, they even stated it clear as day.. but they don't care, cuz their " creative vision " is so much more important. It's another great move to push even more players away from the game so gg.

Edit : Also I wouldn't get my hopes up for RavenGuard claws if they couldn't even be bothered to make a flamer for the Salamander. ESPECIALLY considering the flamer is actually already in game (campaign) but not operations..

I assume the Assault gets the Raven Guard Champion Skin since Jumpjets are a very iconic theme for Raven Guard alongside Lightning Claws.

Tactical might get Imperial Fists or Blood Angels and Vanguard gets White Scars or Space Wolves but that´s just speculation on my part.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I can't even launch the game without getting a BSOD. I made another thread about it. Does anyone have a solution?

Is your BIOS and Drivers in general up to date?

I had BSOD`s when playing RE4 remake last year and it turned out, that my ancient BIOS caused that.
Maybe that will help you.

I'm assuming that's the Raven Guard plan as well, as it's either snipers or jump packs for them. Personally, I'm hoping we see Space Wolves for the vanguard, very fitting for the whole "grapple in there and kill as much as possible" vibe

That would be a good choice since Decimus personality and voice lines are fitting for a Space Wolve.

If I could, I would honestly refund the season pass. Giving Salamanders the sniper is THE worst class pick they could have made and screws over their chapter as well as the class. I really don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about their "creative vision" when it's so out of touch with the lore.

Y'know that reminds me of a tiny nitpick. For the heavy champion, doesn't really matter. But I feel like chapter specific ones like the Dark Angels and upcoming Salamanders should have a specific name/voice lines rather than being well. An Ultramarine in cosplay. Feels so fun saying "For Macragge, for Guilliman, for the Imperium!" As a DA /s

instead of releasing a chapter pack with all the things you need to customize your Spacemarine in any way you want it they release 1 fixed skin tied to a class that you will probably not play for that chapter and then one helmet and a pauldron. All that for about $10 lmao.

They make warframe look generous with their skins.

Don't forget about that beyond paying the $10 (or more if you preordered or got the season pass) you also need to individually grind out each cosmetic element
Which would almost work for padding out playtime if every single operation wasn't so repetitive

its sad that a game like Gears of War 3 is still more ahead than a 2024 spacemarine title in terms of QoL and mechanics.

I can't deny there's a lot of love and passion put into the game. But there's elements that were not thought out at all

yep i do enjoy playing it with my friends and finally a modern 40K game that isn't mixed on reviews and behind on quality gameplay.

Not even darktide could clear that hurdle. But GW and saber's vision is quite lacking, they sell content here like they do for minis its baffling, I get that table top people have absurd money to burn for one codex and a piece of plastic but a game isn't that. using missions from the campaign as operations is fine but that simply can't be it. People want a spacemarine game not just ultramarines the game.

It doesn't help that all this extra content was already in the pipeline meaning someone there thought that this was gonna kill it. Like how 😂
