Just saw their update plans for next year..

Its garbage. It seems to be exactly the same turd we got for the dark angels pack.
Pay 10 bucks for barely anything except on skin that is fixed as a set that you can't actually customize.

The fact that the base game's 'best i could do' variants is your pauldron sporting a few more screws is insane to me that that is 2024's peak space marine customization. Why bother selling chapter packs when its just as shallow? A salamander Sniper? Really? Why does it even have to be class specific?

Instead of releasing a pack that allows players to get all the trinkets and style of a chapter to then apply to their liking we are paying for one class's new theme and that's it. Maybe throw in a boot or some chest piece. I don't know what sort of whale you have to be to shill content like this but its pathetic. Club penguin has better QoL than SM2.

I like the game a lot. It has given me many hours of enjoyment. I'd pay that for any extras just to support the game. I'm also glad those extras are just cosmetic ones and it doesn't include any item that would give people that bought it an unfair advantage over people that didn't buy it.

You consider someone that spends $10 a whale? I know some people have it rough, but $10 really that's your metric for whale type spending? Seems a little extreme to me.

Keep in mind that their plans for the first half of 2025 were already decided even before they released the game in September, without knowing how well the game would sell, so yes, we will have more of the same in the comming months, but released with even slower speed than we had in 2024, since the content they have released so far was basically already done when they released the game.

If we are lucky, Saber will make more ambitious decisions for content development now and we might have a new class and a new enemy faction, with new operations based on fighting the new faction, as paid DLC for late 2025 and 2026, but that is just wishful thinking. I would definitely pay for a DLC like that.

Bruh, we're gonna get a new pvp map - a necron tomb - I know it's not much and there should be a dozen more maps already but I am hyped, can't help it.

this game is a huge success for the studio, and the vast majority of its players like it as the reviews clearly show.

That's a good point and it makes sense with the updates we have received so far with what their expectations were for the game before release.

Had plenty of fun playing, but you have to admit, for an end of year notice it was pretty lame. half of it was copy pasta from previous patches, the second half was just stuff from the roadmap and leaked stuff. they could have at least confirmed the remaining seasons and maybe even supply dates.

I agree with not being able to use the parts separately and customizing them, also the fact they put the sniper champ as a Salamander... Let us use the chapter specific stuff on the class we want, but I do think the price is reasonable.

We have a teaser of what is coming, love the sniper skin btw.

We are getting 2 champion skins, we know one is for the sniper now, and cosmetics, most likely to be raven guard. And we are getting a new pve mission, a new pvp game mode, a new enemy, pve prestige, and what was shown in the teaser.

if you're going to shill have some integrity, Its never about the money its always about principle. You're paying $10 for essentially one glorified skin. 1 skin.

How do you think couch potatoes end up racking in huge amounts of spending. Don't confuse enjoyment as justification for subpar content.

Warhammer games always start out rough, and it's going to be a while before this game is "complete". With that said the game is freaking awesome.... but we ate through all the content.

Check out mods for now. I stick to the Primarch Power Fantasy and Asartes Overhaul.

Maybe you should tone down your sense of entitlement somewhat. Where did you get the idea there are a dozen maps just waiting to be delivered to you? Let me guess you are someone who complains about middle-managements 'lack of understanding' for the hard working person when they try and set stupid and unobtainable goals such as 12 new maps within 3 months of launch....

Given what I have seen with other games such as no support, you pay for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING the dev deigns to give you via loot boxes and micro transactions i think the support for this game has been stellar.

Its already complete. Just because you don't like some of it, tough. This is far better than many games launched in 2024.
