Pillaging, razing and murdering everything, what can´t fight back or resist long enough until severe reinforcements can arrive especially other Astartes (unless they outnumber them or have a severe advantage against them in any kind).
And being the scumbags they are, they will betray, kill and loot their own "allies" and even fellow Night Lords if they can get away with it.
That's what I am hearing a lot. The whole JUST RAIDERS bit. But surely there are night lord commanders with actual goals in mind. Right? They can't all just be space pirates who skin people alive.
There are certainly Captains and other Individuals with higher goals and aspirations like Zho Sahaal and Decimus who seek to lead and potentially reunite the Legion permanently.
But so far any serious attempt in reuniting the Legion under a strong leadership failed due to the brittle and fickle nature of the Night Lords Legion marked by distrust and backstabbing one another.
Only their Primarch, the Night Haunter was capable of holding them together because he was equally loved and feared amongst his Legion.
The Night Lords are more traitors from the imperial perspectiv, than heretics. They never bond to Chaos as an entity, but took the chance to fight for Abaddon in the firts black crusade only to kill their loyalist brothers.
And bringing terror in the mind of a Night Lord is way different to only looking terrifying, They rip your skin off alive and wear it as a trophy while looking you in the eye as you die. But all of this after weeks or months of occupation of your planet and eternal murder.
If they had no restrain then, image how little they care now
But once they know that the Lion is back, they will collectivly ♥♥♥♥ in their Power Armor and hide in the deepest cravesses of the Universe and Warp and I wouldn´t blame them.
Getting thoroughly thrashed during the Thramas Crusade by the Dark Angels under the Lion, which costs them 1/4 of their entire fleet and several thousand Astartes plus their entire 1st company does quite a number on anyones psyche.
Oh, and poor Conrad suffered several deadly wounds by the Lion which caused him to fall into a Coma for quite a while.
They are murders and psychopaths, meeting Lion isn't more dangerous than sitting at a family reunion. I can tell you one thing tho, at family reunion much more people will die and much more horribly
Heh, I like this moral relativism. If they are the 'worst', who are the 'best' then? Bloated and decaying xenophobic Emerium? Where billions are slaves? Where they torture and kill anyone who dares to think independently? Please tell me this is the north of the moral compass.
Not the Iron Boys? All cold logic and no fun allowed, especially if you are made of squishy meat.
