No... On the other hand, if ingame you want to make yourself a space marine with colors to assert your orientation, nothing is stopping you.

I don't understand your metaphor about "leading the chapter" to be honest but actually the size of wallet doesn't have anything to do with leadership skills and is not a decisive factor at all.
