The hidden Team Setup
So i figure for ppl who struggle to check if you check all the boxes.

i see all classes in 3 categorys

Wave clear, Single target and support

Wave clear: assault & Heavy
Single target: Sniper & vanguard
Support: Bullwark & Tactical

When i join a random group i try to pick a class which is needed and i think the best team setups are this:

Team 1

Heavy, Vanguard, tactical
(Heavy in range, vanguard can heal himself good and is in melee and tactical for dmg support)

Team 2

Assault, Sniper, Bullwark
(Assault and Bullwark in melee to support each other and sniper as a long range single target clear)

For all the ppl who struggle i would recomend to try this out or think to build the team like that. Too many melee just get in their way and with no melee the range get flooded.

I know you can beat everything with w/e team setup but i think this helps a lot for who strugle since the game doesnt tell you that. What you guys think :)?

Such thinking is important in lethal, issue is builds, i have a horde clearing las fusil sniper build and a majoris target plasma build heavy.

One person on sing;e target is really helpful, as somebody needs to be on zoe duty.

IMO too many variables, like:

Heavy if not melta can delete single targets just as good.

Sniper can be melee and do not have a fast way to get rid of flying targets.

Tactical role depends a lot on the weapon they use, could be from second sniper with stalker to wave clear with melta or somewhat in between with heavy rifle etc.

The list goes on.

I mean the idea to look at what is there is good of course, but I would rather focus on 2 things: 1 - horde clear, 2 -taking down flyers. But since you can't see the loadouts it is always a guessing game anyway to a degree.

i agree that many classes can do something else aswell but this classes can fill their role realy good.

Heavy clears groups with all 3 guns realy fast, sure sniper can aswell but it is not their main role.
Just because i say heavy is wave clear and sniper for single target doesnt mean they cant help each other.

i see tactical as a dmg support and bullwark as a heal support.

but yeah help where you can but focus on your role. too many time i´ve seen a assault with a hammer killing majoris while the minoris swarms the rest....

Its just a lil guideline :)
Some things are a given, like if you join a tyranid mission and the allies are a bulwark and a assault, you know nobody is on zoe control.

yes but yet ppl act surprised when they get killed by one lol
This man follows the Codex. I do not, lol. If you know that you're good with a class, then take the one you enjoy!

For the record I will say that for anyone to play whatever class they have the most fun with and we'll make it work. I also agree with the points Tao314zdin listed.

That being said being an assault I sure do like Assault, Sniper, Bullwark team you listed. I feel like an assault acts as a force multiplayer for snipers. Snipers do the same for assault. Bulwarks keep the whole machine running. It just naturally fits together and is very effective for any map.
yes. i dont want to tell ppl what to play. Just IF you have trouble clearing higher difficulty you might want to check your team comp to make it smoother.

Sure good players can beat w/e. But this aint for them
Nah meta is still Bulwark, Las Sniper, grenade launcher Tactical

I don't really think team setup like this is that important. It obviously helps sometimes, but I feel that the combinations all balance out. Of course a bulwark/assault/vanguard will spend more time on fliers, but honestly, it's not that bad. We all pistol the crap out of em.
