40K is the perfect setting for videogames

The sky is the limit for 40k games. Space Marines are obviously popular and I´ll be happy to play as Titus in the future, but if I may ramble a little how many different type of games we could have with 40K.

You are an Autarch of the Aeldari, your ship crash landed on this weird jungle world. You journey through the land while fighting expertly with blades, guns, killing whatever comes your way. This would be a third person action game and would love to see something like this. Aeldari are actually one of the best protagonist candidates for a powertrip 40k game, as they are highly skilled and an Autarch can make quick work of even Space Marines. Also Jetbikes.

You are a Chaos champion/Chaos sorcerer, this could be its own game or a DLC campaign for a Space Marine game as its very similar but just crazier in every way. Think God of War but 40k

Imperial Guard "Battlefront" type game, could have hero unlocks just like in the battlefront series. Could have Tau Empire as the other faction.

Rumour has there is a Total War 40k game in the works, so thats a thing too.

Any thoughts on these or what would you like to see in the future?

Yes, Warhammer still has the potential to become one of the most popular franchises, certainly able to compete with Pokemon. But sadly, Games Workshop isnt really able to bring out the potential, neither in the Tabletop nor the arguable debacle with their licenses, being too stingy beforehand and then apparently just handing it out to everyone who asks, which concluded in the unfortunate stereotype of Warhammer videogames are generally bad.

But the franchise is so strong and it keeps going, which means that more stuff is released and thus the chance is higher of the stuff being good. Not only in regard to videogames, but also in regard to movies and tv-shows now. The franchise is jsut far too big and popular already to ever die out, there will always be coming something and eventually it will have a golden age.

I remember playing Space Hulk on the Philips 3DO back in the early 90's, and it got me into 40k, I know there's been other newer SH games but would love to see another stab at it.

I'd love to see a Total War series made with WH 40k. With Fantasy, the developers have already proven that they know their stuff and it would be epic if it started with the Horus Heresy. Space battles and planetary battles with all factions would be an ideal sandbox that I would call Eye of Terror!

My concern is that they've never made anything more modern than the Napoleonic Wars, and even that seemed lackluster compared to their usual speciality. I'm not sure the basic gameplay even works with something that is more dakka-dominated.

Well, in August the developers already released a tweak that could be their next unannounced project WH 40K. The lead designer for the new unannounced project is also a former Games Workshop employee. The clues are increasing.
