I don't think you understand what's going on here, that's most likely not their goal at all. They probably just wanted the extra money from the paid early access FOMO weekend along with the regular sales. I'm sure their main team is already working on SM3. But SM3 will most likely be what you're talking about here. Nothing more than an overpriced DLC for SM2 that they will probably offer again with a FOMO weekend to make as much money as possible. The funny thing is that the majority will probably fall for it again. Start putting 1 and 1 together people... :-/
Eh, I pre-ordered for the Season Pass bundle, i want all the fancy cosmetics to come. The early access days were just a cherry on top. I wanted to support what I knew was gonna be a good game in the exact hope for more, and not having to wait 13 years between the next.
I'm already closing in on 120 Hrs with no sense of burnout. I'll get my money's worth many times over from this game and it's planned content, and all the better I can put it down and come back whenever I like without feeling like I'm falling behind. Allowing me to play other stuff at my leisure without concern.
I mean, I think they're going to stick with the game, I just find it, as I said, "a slap in the face" basically to be projecting into the future when you barely have a product out the door...
And yes, I know they're committed to a set amount of content.. Again, I love the game a was a big defender of it pre-launch against all the haters... that's why I feel like this is such an insult. But what comes after that?
Obviously a company needs to be working on and thinking about the next project as soon as one is out of the door else they will go broke.
No company will have an entire studio working on bug fixes and followup content of the type that we will be getting, it's simply a waste of resources, I mean, saber interactive has over 2500 employees!
Simple as.
Im out ...
Back then you play a game this year and get a sequel the next.
It is normal.
And if you can't get servers to even connect reliably for the MASSIVE amount of people that you were WELL aware of that would be playing your game, you better get your whole damn studio working on it till it gets fixed.
Yea, I'm well aware of different departments and how things are broken down, I'm being sarcastic.
Hey, whatever helps you sleep at night though. If you have no problem with it, good for you. I've worked in the business world my whole life and I'm WELL aware of how it works and how PR works also. THIS is NOT smart PR. You can think about your next project, but don't go blabbing about what you want to put in it instead of this one.
