And that's not because it's overtuned, or bugged with overheal, but simply because its main purpose of clearing minoris and staggering everything else is barely affected by the damage difference between weapon tiers.
You'll of course fail the floating bullet sponge ranged dps checks if your teammates don't have those covered, but everything else you should be able to tackle.
I'm just pointing out the weapons progression gap created by having only master craft armory data drop in the first two levels instead of one as I believe it should be.
Edit: Tyranids anyway.
@Volo, I've heard the devs' are working on the AI for single player. I hope that's the extent of it. I wouldn't argue against leaving the field pickup items static for all levels but, wouldn't want the monster's challenge level to change.

The difficulty from substantial to ruthless is literally non-existent as long as you have purple weapons and perks.

You are playing with the meta classes or you arent and if you arent, well, better hope someone comes along to carry you honestly.

You can basically go through substantial and ruthless with a standard melta due to the sheer amount of health you get back.
