For those defending melta gun
Kinda weird to see them saying it's skill issue lol.

I am not necessarily asking for nerf, but some unintended bugs do need to be fixed (mainly health regen of it). I want people to have fun lol.

Take max level relic bolt guns to a fight, and have another take Grey level starting melta.

I don't care how skillful you are and how unskillful other person is, that person will out damage you by twofold easily lol.

Melta works point blank or minimum close range. A bolter will have the nerve down before they get within 100 yards dropping the littles. It's not strange snipers can out damage a heavy in range.

No it was meant for multi hit on tabletop.
18 inch range you get to roll once and then reroll again and if you hit you get to roll 2 dice one more time for armor pen

Multi only means double the range. Twin linked gets even more rolls on armor pen.

So they where designed in the 80s over 30 years ago for heavy anti armor so against close range groups it rapes
Were talking about a video game here and its mechanics. Cards don't translate.

You missed the point. The little ones are not your target. You can rack up the damage on them all day long in the end it amounts to doing nothing if your not the one dropping the nerves in 1 shot. That's the default problem with posts about balancing the game right now. Most players still haven't learned core mechanics.

Rotfl. Healing bug does't even matter since decent melta player won't take and dmg anyway. Also melta lets you solo ruthless easily so no, we don't need all weps on absurdly OP level.

Go back to helldivers 2 forums please we don't need the first set of balances to be nerfs
They are introducing a new difficulty. that means we need some of the other guns to perform better.

And the melta is set to its lowest setting in this game. The melta has a higher setting that shoots a pure 56,000 Degree beam of heat that is meant to cut open heavy armored vehicles
Maybe lets have the highest setting, 6 rounds only and no reserve.

they absolutist do. You are insinuating the devs made up the rules for the Multi-melta and designed them for a specific person.

The idea and the way it works was already preordained by the "cards"

The devs had to adapt it into a video game. It was not designed for newbs and for people with bad accuracy. It was designed for crowd control and heavy unit control.

THE FACT newbs and people with bad accuracy use it is just a side effect.

also people who want to be a bad ass with a big Fricken gun also use it.

1- The best 5 cal HMG
2- The worst RPG/Javelin

Duh. Cool thing bout bolter vs nids is that you just need to kill majoris so you dont need the excessive wave clear that meltas have while having a decent medium-long range weapon. If you just have minoris pop the grenade launcher.

I would just start with the Bug fix and bringing other weapons more in line and go from there. While the melta is the Goat i think most of it has to do with the Bug. Because the Melta does struggle to beat extremis enemies. And that is a good weakness we can have for this weapon even if its not all that lore accurate.

and that is unrealistic. should let us toggle the Melta's fire modes. cus a melta on Beam setting would cut a hive tyrant in half with one shot. But then again a Hive tyrant would never be alone and would have at least 1 Thrope or 5-6 Heavy units with him

I love the Heavy Bolter but if i realise that the random group ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up on ruthless i change to melter and carry the whole stage on my shoulders.
Heavy Bolter need 1 or 2 damage points more, less spreading before skills and better stagger at bigger enemys to be on par.

People are just bad. I'm playing mostly H bolter and I truly enjoy, doing brutal damage on the top dificulty.

Yeah melta is easier probably but I play normally with others.

Nerfs are crap and destroy experience and games, we can trust on the people who complain always.

4-5 or 6-7 bolts on a bad roll (maybe 8 or 10 if really bad). Even better in a narrow corridor if they line up.

Cant you do it?

in ops, the fire rate melta and heavy stance is indeed broken. even without the over heal bug its just a cheat code right now. i like playing heavy, especially with the multi melta and i chose that combo before i knew it was broken; im also a person who is usually against nerfs in favor of buffing other weapons, but fire rate melta in heavy stance is in fact broken.

if you think its not, go use it. get the fire rate melta and go into heavy stance (middle mouse button by default) and just see how fast it fires, and then realize that those shots also stagger majoris and extremis. its so bad that on hazard 4 a warrior can be lunging at you and you can just keep clicking in his general direction and he will get staggered out of the lunge and then killed before he gets out of the stagger, along with whatever was also in that general direction, majoris, extremis, doesnt matter.
