For Tactical: Auto vs. Heavy Bolt Rifle

I know both are not great, especially on higher difficulties, so I suppose I was just wondering which option is the less bad one. I've already finished the standard Bolt Rifle with the grenade launcher, but I just want to level some other things.

Heavy Bolt rifle is best bolter in game period. In terms of damage, clip size and rate of fire it outclasses everything else. Only better option is the underbarrel grenade launcher, but its not a bolter even then cause main fire is weak.

Eh i grinded my heavy bolt rifle to relic and i still need a whole mag for one warrior sometimes, even if i shoot head. It feels like a bb gun to me, thats all i can say :_(

Heavy bolt rifle is unquestionably superior to the auto bolt rifle.
The best bolt weapon is the stalker bolter tho. The bolt rifle with grenade launcher doesn't count because it's a grenade launcher.

Heavy bolt rifle. But choose the bolt rifle with grenade launcher instead. You won't regret once you level the bolt rifle up to the max.

I think Heavy is better overall, but I do like handling of Auto a lot too. I find some success with auto by NOT aiming to shoot, just shoot from hip. Makes it closer in distance, but spread is lesser on auto and still fairly accurate. Keeps me mobile to either kite or charge in while shooting.

just use melta EZ until they balance the weapons. level all of course, but might as well use META melta until its nerfed

I prefer heavy but auto has some merit in gain on the backend. Depends the map.

Heavy got range, damage, more per magazine and more bollits overall.

I wonder why there is even an auto bolt rifle.
