I bet you don't play Melta Rifle Vanguard lmao.
Hmmm, I don't usually aim down the sights with Melta at close range because "why the hell would I?" but I'll try it and see if it works
works for me too
Got almost every class maxed so...yes....still never had an issue with it. Never ran into an issue where I'd have to avoid it but I can see why other players might.
It just hasn't occurred to me that there would be a difference between aiming down the sights and hip-firing when it came to gun strikes. I just played a game but this hasn't come up, but I'll keep playing until the same thing happens again and I'll report on it.
You basically need to have a ton of Tyranid Warriors in front of you with you firing melta into them for this to be a serious problem.
I just did, like 2 minutes ago. Was deliberately testing this.
Hope that 1 armor was worth it when the enemy took all 3 while you're animation locked.
I mean, it does make sense, considering how easy it is to get a gun strike. I fully agree with the devs not giving us i-frames during the animation, but I also think gun striking should be a more deliberate action, instead of "if you look in the general direction of a mark you will do a gun strike" type of thing.
I'm thinking maybe the reason it did a gun strike for me is because I just barely entered aim down sights mode? Like, the big round crosshair appeared, but maybe I was still in hipfire "state" for this purpose? I've had another fight where it seemingly didn't gun strike...I'm confused now.
in all seriousness though ADS does work to prevent as the meltas is kind of an odd ball in the sense you can just hipfire it and be fine. the other guns they better be right in your face and even then you could miss.
I guess I don't see the issue with gunstrikes since if I'm going to use them it's either deliberate choice against a majoris or higher...or I've used a melee attack to "knockback" the minoris (like the sprint/dodge attack with a chainsword) to intentionally get breathing room to perform a gunstrike.
well i don't why you thought standing in the middle of 50 gaunts was a good idea in the first place.
Have you played this game...?
