Until a patch fixes it, set you power options to power saver. It will slightly reduce your perfomances but you will get to play the game.
Hopefully it helps
Tried playing on both using diffrent nvidia and AMD GPUs (RX6600, RX6800 & RTX 2060 12gb, RTX 3060 12gb) and the problem persist on both, doesn't matter if i have set to low, med or high.
Only diffrence is that setting it to Low helps a bit with the frame drops in graphics heavy scenes with swarms when playing at higher difficulty modes.
Random crashes usually happens when playing operations (I've also crashed while playing campaign, but only once or twice) usually at halfway or near the end of an operation mission.
Meanwhile, disconnection issues seems to be more prevelant when doing solo operations runs with bots, disabling crossplay helps but it still happens after playing for a while.
This problem seems to be random, some people have it, while others dont. Only thing we can do for now is wait for the next major patch to fix this (this is a known issue and saber probably already has a fix in the works), they should have it up just before this month ends.
1. Move the game installation location to your SSD
2. Reduce the strain on your graphics card by cleaning it and adding additional cooling. Clean the ventilators in the laptop (open it and remove the heating system to clean the space between the ventialtor and vents to the outside. get professional help if you have never done that, as you need to apply cooling paste afterwards and remove alot of small screws)
This made my pc less warm and overall less strained. I also added additional cooling station that i put the laptop on. But that was just another addition.
Now it runs on high settings. I never thought this could be fixed but this worked wonders. Smooth gameplay. And other games I had installed run smoother too!
Is there a point to buy games on launch anymore? Every game is badly optimised.
