Plasma cannon
Does anyone actually like that gun and manage to hit majoris enemies without them dodging every shot? From personal experience the plasma pistol is more effective than the plasma cannon.

I like the Plasma Cannon but it is only good against ground based targets and mobs. Gotta use the pistol or the Plasma gun for Air targets.

I've had no problems with it. I like the plasma incinerator on Tactical.

My biggest gripe though is when team mates run immediately in front of you right as you charge up a shot and block it. Massive waste of ammo. And unfortunately with how Bulwark, Assault, and Vanguard function fundamentally, these 3 classes manage to eat a lot of shots I take at grounded Majoris.

Majoris enemies just reading your inputs, thats why they dodge charged shots. Call me crazy, i dont care.

Im talking about the big plasma cannon. The smaller plasma weapons dont have a gigantic fire delay and their shots move 2-4 times faster.

The plasma cannon has a perk that makes its shots faster, but 1. you have to be max level 2. you have to skill the worst skills in the game (+melee damage on a heavy weapon) to reach it.

This. What is the point of charging up a shot if the enemy just jumps to the side as soon as you release the button. There is no skill involved, its just a coinflip if your shot activates a dodge from the enemy.

It has worse dps than the heavy bolter and worse AoE than the melter and it is a shadow of its former self from space marine 1 where it was my fav weapon.

Yes, it's my favorite weapon.

the skill is to shoot after they jumped, or when they're staggered. same with chaos. do the heavy hits after the teleport, not before.

i like bringing the plasma pistol too, so i can switch between them to have the right tool for the job in any situation.

I like it solely for the fact the Tactical perk that gives you a magazine of ammo for executing majoris enemies gives you back the entire ammo reserve amount. The projectile takes some getting used to, the charged shot is great at dealing with hordes, though not as good as a melta or the grenade launcher.

Edit: I havent used the plasma incinerator yet, but from what Ive seen 2nd hand, it looks just as strong as the plasma pistol. Would change the plasma cannon with the plasma incinerator on heavy any day.

Oh, you were talking about the Heavy, my bad.

How could it move slower than another plasma weapon? Surely it would at least have to be faster than bolter but slower than laser?
