DISABLE EAC;
"disable EAC. Found on framedsc. But with the caveat, I still BSOD crashed after a few hours of play, but at least it got me through a few missions.
To disable the EAC, please go to the folder <steam installation folder>\Space Marine 2\client_pc\root\bin\pc and create a new bat file, e.g. rungame.bat and open it in notepad. Paste the following lines in the file and save it:
set SteamAppId=2183900
set SteamGameId=2183900
"Warhammer 40000 Space Marine 2 - Retail.exe""
RESET BIOS;
"Consider resetting BIOS or lowering your Over Clock settings if you overclock.
It seems to be a problem with the game interacting with Intel chips with aggressive OC settings. I have an Intel I9 14900K, and had it running other games fine with aggressive overclock settings, but whenever I launches this game it goes a Blue Screen of Death. I had to reset bios. Game has since run with no issues, so I've just re-overclock my settings around it."
POWER SETTINGS;
"set you power options on power saver. Somebody gave me the tips and it worked for me ever since.
That's a good workaround until they update and get the optimization better"
COMPATIBILITY MODE;
"had the same issue, game constantly crashed on intro,
go to \Steam\steamapps\common\Space Marine 2\client_pc\root\bin\pc
right click warhammer 40000 space marine 2 - retail.exe, right click then properties, click compatability and run compatability mode for windows 7. stopped crashing after i did this but only if you launch the retail exe iteself."
I just remembered that I had similar issues on my old PC, where after overclocking the RAM, graphic programs would break in the same way as this game. So, without thinking much, I went into the BIOS, and with XMP enabled, I lowered the RAM frequency from 3200 to 3000. I just played the game for 2 hours with 0 issues!
