Bulwark Vs. Carnifex?!!

I hope the developers add a "training room" or like the X-Men had "The Danger Room" to learn how to fight...in particular the Carnifex. All the videos and guides say to dodge its attacks and range it down....wtf are you supposed to do when you're the Bulwark and playing solo....the AI is sure as hell not gonna range it for you and you will run out of pistol ammo before you barely scratch it.

You get really good at reading it and make sure not to stand too close when it's pulling its claws from the ground as that's an AOE 360 degrees around it. I melee them to death for convenience these days honestly.

genuinly you just melee it to death. ive been lucky enough to run into carnifexs enough that I have practice at doing it and it is far and away faster. either parry its melee attacks or last second dodge them for high burst. the tricky part is learning the tells for its unblockables and ranged attacks before they come out. when i'm playing tactical I just sit on its chest parrying its attacks in order to permanently keep it auspex marked for my team.

would be really cool to get a training mode tho. I won't deny

Heavy bot will bring it down with ranged firepower, but that's a matter of luck. The big trick with parrying Carnifex is that all of its melee attacks aimed at you have a long delay where it winds its scythe arms back before swinging. That used to trick me into using parry too soon all the time. And then the spinning attack it does when you're behind it comes out quick. It's usually easier to just block that until you can recognize it more easily.

As a bulwark, you can just stand there and block most of its ranged and melee attacks with your shield anyways, so that makes it easier for bulwark to get a feel for the attack timings than other classes.

Honestly, I focus on simply keeping ♥♥♥♥ busy while others kill most of the stuff. When you get to ruthless everything tears you apart, but Bulwark can still keep the enemies from their allies with the big guns.

Parry works I've found, fight like elden ring. attack ,nades, doge, parry, attack a a A, banner, fight, repeat any previous attack or abilities and items if possible and get those gun strikes.
