Players Griefing by dropping Gene-Seed at Extraction

Twice now I've had a player randomly kill themselves (with grenades) at the end of the first Coop operation on Ruthless. Losing it for everyone because they had a grudge against another player for 'stealing their kill'. What is wrong with people?

More seriously, probably some kind of heros syndrom. Want to be the one to have the gene, the most kill, the most xp, the most everything cause why not ? He's an elit player. Kinda toxic. Didn't encounter anyone doing that until now, thanks the emperor

Couldn't block or report them, the recent players list is blank for me and they left instantly after the scoreboard.

So they're throwing away a 3 digit xp gain because they might not get a 10 xp gain?

Yeah I've been wondering while playing with friends, do you drop it immediately even when you can still get rescued?

I'd suggest changing it to fully downed and waiting for respawn to reduce potential drama, while making it easier to discern between unintentional failure to keep hold of the precious Gene-Seed and actual griefing.

Plus you don't actually gain XP for kills as it is. Only the most total kills, which they weren't even close to as they brought a default boltor to Ruthless. Weird experience.

You do, if you get downed at all it just dissappears instantly. Meaning it's super easy to grief or just miss a single parry and lose it on harder difficulties where you can get stun-locked etc.

that does make me wonder though if i am a bulwark and im shock spec and my armor drops show grenades rings. why when using the other hand held ones am i taking damage from those. i wonder if there is a Friendly fire for nades we can look in to .. ill set it in the Ideas forum..
