Space marine 2 road map does not have enough content.
Space marine 2 road map does not have enough content to keep the game moving forward while retaining players. With such a short campaign and end game activities being where most people will sink their hours into the this game should of been more focused as a live service model. With 120 hours in and looking at the road map content I am thinking that this is too little and and the content drops taking to long. When the new content finally drops the 2 more missions and another difficulty level is not going to last very long at all. Then its back waiting for more content. Its a real shame because i do in fact love this game and would like to make it my main game but sadly its one of those games where you come back for the new content and then leave the game for a few months while waiting for tiny pieces of content. Its not enough!

This game should of been a live service game with more resources focused on pushing out more content in a reasonable time frame or instead skip the end game content entirely and just focused on a longer campaign because as it stands right now the game doesn't really excel in any arena. We have short campaign that gets us into operations and PVP but then not having enough content to keep enjoying the game for any real length of time.

I agree actually you can't have all these modes then have 1/4 the content they need to survive and expect it to survive with such little content.

I agree.

World War Z released with 14 maps, SM2 with 6. It needs MORE maps, and especially the second map batch for pve is 1.

Another thing they could EASILY do is break up the campaign into a bunch of Ops that we can earn stuff from. That'd easily be another 8, if not more ops.

It’ll survive in the same way vermintide and darktide survive. It’ll be fine.

Hopefully they delivery more content than they originally planned, but doubtful

Personally, I really like the idea of random map generation and spawning. There's a mod for GTFO that added this and it greatly improved the repeatability of the game. I hope these guy realize what kind of machine they have on their hands here...don't let it all go to waste on skin packs. The operations maps are a great feature, but the lack of loot at the end is a bit troubling... It would be nice to see the heraldry items awarded for completing a mission successfully & gives us the points as well.

Agreed. One of my biggest issues with the game is that... there really isn't allot of content here or even planned for the future. This game isn't full of 60$ worth of content imo. Or worse yet, if you got one of the more expensive editions.

SM2 also needs more PVE game modes. Operations are too linear and get old fast. We need various objectives/outcomes within the same map or faster mission modes. This is a grind game and if the only thing we have to do to grind is playing the same predictable copy of an operation over and over again it's not really fun.

There's actually a mod already out that lets you play the campaign with your operations classes, though you get no XP or progress, it's clearly very easy to do and would be a cheap fix for the developers. Unless they use the "lore" excuse, which will be like Arrowhead citing their desire for "realism" in a computer game about killing bugs and bots.

If they did this I would change my review to positive.

Considering Saber have already spoken about an outline for a sequel this game was never designed as a live service title and the game isn't set up for the constant money flow required for that game model

Even though darktide lacked content big time it was still way more than sm2 (and well, darktide kinda died considering the potential, personally ive quit it after 2 months after 100% it, vt2 was much better). Also there was much more rng in tide games.
