For Emperor's sake, USE THE KARKING HEALING
I am getting tired of people playing tough guy and not using/picking up healing when they need it. They keep running around on 1/4 or virtually no HP and refuse to pick up the health that the Emperor has generously sent us.

Let me remind everyone who needs reminding: This is not a Fatshark game. You can't heal the mortal wound once it's inflicted, and there are no other ways to heal yourself, barring a few medium-high level class perks that heal a TINY amount every now and then. There is literally no reason not to use the medicae stims if you're missing half your health.

There is also no reason to larp so hard that you'd refuse healing even when you clearly needed it. You're not being a team player, quite the opposite: if you go down, the chance of a wipe goes up VERY quickly. By leaving yourself on a sliver of HP, you are toying with the team's chances of victory.

PLEASE, stop acting tough and just heal yourself. There's the stim right there, you are on 30% USE IT.

Edit: correction, apparently, if you get rezd and you heal back up to full, you can clear your mortal wound. However, that requires you to hoard 2 heals and not use them until you get downed and hope that your teammates can rescue you and that you can pop the 2 heals before you take some chip damage. Not worth it: just stay high HP and never go down. Please.

if you go down and get revived then 2 heals will heal you to full and remove your mortal wound.

it means that its better to stack 2 heals on 1 player than it is to spread them out and not use them until after you go down.

its a stupid system.

Its incredibly bad game design for a coop game that matches you with randoms.

Oh wait, so if you full heal, it gets rid of your mortal wound? I didn't actually know that. Still, it's better not to go down in the first place.

Also, using a Guardian Relic cures mortal wounds.

If you got downed with it, I don't believe the relic works if you pick it up after you've already been mortally wounded?

Even if it does, why go down in the first place? There's no guarantee that your teammates will be able to pick you up and even if they do, in a dire situation they are likely to lose HP while doing so.

You are correct, but I stand by what I said: just heal.

FYI if you heal yourself to full with medkit or heal yourself while at full health with a medkit after taking the mortal wound - that also clears the mortal wound.

So ideally you want to give all the packs to the guy with the mortal wounds.

A guardian relic will auto revive you if you go down with a mortal wound AND clear the mortal wound.

best scenario

Or you cold just let people play how they want and just deal with it instead of telling people how to play.

also also, you can use stims on full hp. Its not just "healing back to full" that clears the mortal wound. you have to use a stim.

Theres a bug that lets Bulwarks and Heavies heal to full when using an armoury. You can also be healed to full by a bulwark placing a flag down when you do an execution. So, sometimes its a wise idea to hang on to the stim if there's an armoury up ahead or a bulwark who heals is on your team.

Theres plenty of reasons not to use stims right away. Your advice is just bad.

That is the only way to not go insane while playing with randos but its also good to know the mechanics.

You're missing the point - its better to die and wait the minute for respawn. If you finish a firefight and someone needs to be picked back up ... don't. Let them die, wait a minute, they come back without a wound.

I did not know that full healing gets rid of the mortal wound, either. Do they explain that at all during the tutorial or campaign?

Just wondering if I missed it at some point. If I did, I'm an idiot. If it didn't then they're the idiots. Either way, that's kind of a janky mechanic.

Dont even have to wait, there is forced respawn on every area transition (so everytime you "assemble")
There are certain weapons with perks that give you flat damage or headshot bonus from being 30% or lower.
