Chaos and Class names NEEDS an overhaul
This is gonna be a lengthy one so strap in.
So PVP is 33% of the game (really its 50%) so a lot of attention needs to be put onto it. To me it seems Chaos was absolutely lazily done with absolutely no customization, Tactical, Assault, and Heavy need to have voice customization, as in I can change which voice lines they use, for Vanguard, Bulwark, and Sniper, I am fine with them being a forced Legion as those classes best represent those Legions, that and you will never ever find a World Eater Sniper, except maybe in one of Trazyns Museums.
Before we get into this I would like to make a disclaimer and say that both factions need to be completely different and unique you will see what I mean later in this. But it is ok for the factions to be different and not just copy and paste, it will add flavor to the game and the game is in much need of flavor.
Starting off with Tactical I have no problems with for Chaos (However for Loyalist it shouldn't be Tactical it should be Intercessor), you could call it Legionary for Chaos, but for the sake of simplicity lets keep it at Tactical.
Assault for both Loyalist and Chaos needs a small change in name. For Chaos that name should be Raptor. That is what the equivalent of a Firstborn Assault Marine is for Chaos, they are called Raptors. For Loyalist the class should be called Jump Pack Intercessor, as a Primaris Assault Marine is completely different then a Jump Pack Marine.
Vanguard is an issue as their is no Chaos Equivalent to Vanguard. Everyone one needs to understand that the equipment Chaos uses is 10-12 THOUSAND years old. Yes they will loot bodies but for the most part all of their equipment is old. You would have to make an entirely new class to fill in for the Chaos faction and for me the only option is the Khorne Berzerker which the Vanguard already represents for Chaos. Get rid of the silly grappling hook for him and give him an entirely new ability, we will call it Rage, it lasts for a few seconds and boosts his melee damage as well as grants him invulnerability. Now he is still able to take damage but you can only bring him down to 1 hp until his rage wears off. Also the Khorne Berzerker wouldn't have a gun but two Chain Axes.
Bulwark is also a hard one as Chaos has no equivalent to Bulwark. Since the Chaos Bulwark is a Plague Marine, I say we go with that, the Plague Marine class, a slow, yet extremely high health class that maybe explodes upon death. Give him a reduced time to and a more rapid health regeneration and maybe his ability is a slow AOE damage tick to anyone within a seeable radius around him, also all Plague Marine melee weapons are blighted so if hit by one you have a small tick of health loss for a few seconds, we also have blight grenades that explode on impact into a toxic cloud that eats away at armor and health, not to mention viability issues.
Sniper is not bad at all, for Loyalists the name should be renamed to Scout, but for Chaos sniper is fine and it being a Alpha Legionare makes sense.
Heavy the last class, for loyalists I'm ok with it being called Heavy. Depending on what heavy weapon you used your name would be different, for instance a Desolation Marine uses a Rocket Launcher, an Eradicator Marine uses the Multi Melta and so on, so combining it all and just saying Heavy is fine and makes sense. However for Chaos it shouldn't be called Heavy it should be called Havoc, any and all Chaos Space Marines that use heavy weapons are called Havoc Marines.
Another thing that should be changed is height, I'm assuming that all Loyalist Marines we play as are Primaris, that means that they should be roughly and I put emphasis on roughly two heads taller then a Chaos Space Marine. Now I have not seen the two models standing side by side, but I'm willing to wager that they are the same height. That should be changed.
If you made it this far thank you for reading my grimoire, Warhammer is a great passion of mine and I love it to bits, please comment your thoughts on this subject, maybe I'm completely wrong, crazy, and nitpicky. If you have any ideas on this topic please voice them below Id love to read different ideas on the matter.
If any developer happens upon this know that you've made a fun game, and maybe completely changing Vanguard and Bulwark for Chaos is a fever dream at best, at least change some the names, Going from Tactical to Intercessor for the Loyalists, the name changes for Assault for both sides, and changing Heavy to Havoc for Chaos, little things like that go a long way, and just that extra layer of depth to the game.

Oh for sure, this is more of a letting them know for the future, when they have fixed major bugs, crashes, and improved stability.

Who cares if Chaos cannot use the class system?

Chaos does not care. That's something for the corpse worshipping heathens to bother about.

I say turn it on it's head, the entire thing, if introduced properly, the Chaos forces should have their own ranking system or unit types, as is tradition, devoid of any alignment with the Imperium of Milk Drinkers. That way, it'll be all nice and logical, with noise guitars and chain axes. :steamthumbsup:

It is however 33%/50% of the game, plus the two class name changes for the Loyalists can apply to PVE as well, but I guess your right about it not being a focus.

I want more pvp stuff thats ridiculously complicated and takes ages to develop and test, also, would cost a fortune and would not bring more costumers in it's such a niche thing.

PVP is about 10 percent of the game, and chaos skins and names are the way GW told them to be.

PVP is about 10 percent of the game, and chaos skins and names are the way GW told them to be.
At the very least PVP is 33% of the game, there are three things to do in the game, Main Campaign, Operations, and PVP. I would not say my ideas are ridiculously complicated, it would take time to implement yes as with all things, the game sold like hot cakes so I don't see money being an issue. While it may not alone bring in more costumers it will allow the people who play the game to have just a little bit more content and some flavor in general when it comes to PVP, if your gonna do a 40k game do it right. If the names and skins are because GW said so then Idk what the hell GW is thinking, and if that is the case then my idea is for not anyway.
