My idea would be something just more impactful and be felt. Maybe something like:
"First round in magazine deals 100% extra head shot damage"
"Bullet no longer spreads but fire rate is slowed by 50%"
"Heavy attacks no longer available but light attacks are 30% faster"
Of those nature.
Something that actually makes you feel like you can play the same weapon differently.
the spread honestly is not that good actually i think thats kinda bad.
heavy attacks are essential but if your playing combat knife with vanguard it could work.
I think you got hung up on the specifics here rather than the idea. OP wants perks that actually alter game play rather than some minor stat increases and conditional buffs.
I too find many of the weapon perks underwhelming. Most of the stats should come from the upgrades, perks should offer utility and differing play styles.
Again, I just think weapon perks were just an after thought with very little effort put in to them.
I am almost willing to bet 90% of players don't even remember which weapon perks they are using on their main weapons LOL.
I do think ammo management is in a weird place too. I think they could increase ammo capacity in general but put limited use on ammo crate or something.
