Disappointing, along with other answers being lukewarm at times, but at least they also gave us a solid answer as to why they have trouble adding things outside of just development and implementation. That answer being, GW is obnoxiously pedantic and arbitrary about what can and cannot be added. Borderline suffocating oversight.
Someone asked if we'd ever see heavy flamers on the heavy class, similar to the flamethrower in campaign, and the response was basically in no uncertain terms "Because gravus armor units in the tabletop don't use flamers, but rather flamestorm gauntlets at this point, we are forbidden from doing so."
So if you want a more plausible reason as to why we can't have nice things, the answer is, as usual, GW being morons. Shame.
