Bolters Suck
On Substantial Difficulty I had more fun and did more damage with the starter, non upgraded, no perks Plasma Rifle than I did with my Artificer Heavy Bolt Rifle. Disgusting. Every rapid fire weapon sucks in this game and it's a shame, they could be so much fun.

Problem is that the role they are supposed to fill is not even the way to success, but its damn fun to still use them. They are meant to kill waves of small guys, but we dont have waves of small guys, we have groups of small guys packed with big guys and when the big guys die the small guys hav a problem (at least with nids), so the game is telling us to get rid of the big guys, but gives us many weapons to deal with the small guys.

Not to mention, that the Bolters are even getting outclassed in the role they are supposed to fill by Melta and even charged Plasma attacks can kill in an AoE.

In this situation as well, it would have been way better to increase the amount of enemies on higher difficulites instead of just pushing the HP and damage of the already existing enemies.

Increasing the amount of small enemies could be a problem for bros with weaker CPU's I think, not my problem but I want everyone to enjoy the game.
Also, for Bolters to shine, every mission should have 2-3 massive waves of nothing but weak enemies.

Standard Bolter and Heavy Bolter doesn't start to pick up til tier 3 when you get the ability to cleave through blocks and still damage enemies.

The Tactical is actually really good with Bolters once you get tier 3 cleave, and Kraken rounds + perpetual penetration.

Some weapons def need buffs tho, no doubt. Especially when you have Melta which is hands down the best gun in the game

That Bolter carried me through some campaign missions, but it's not that enjoyable, cuz I was relying on the grenades, not on the pew-pew

bolter do damage, but they are litteraly close range weapon, the fall off damage is insane in the game.
And the one who is in charge of info on weapon was messing with us, mid range litteraly mean 10 metters, long range 15 metters, over that the weapon damage start to divide by 3 to 4 and even more.
Close range 9 round, around 40 metters 150 rounds for a thousand sand. And close range weapon like the carbine you have litteraly to be at melee range to have no fall off damage.

People are sleeping on the Stalker Bolter too much as well. It's genuinely decent. Been using it a lot lately and it has impressed me with how quickly it has been bringing ranged enemies into execution range. If you pistol them down after doing so, it's incredibly ammo efficient and lets you run something different for a change.

Bolters being intended as close range weapons makes no sense. I can understand the Carabines being close range, but Bolters should be at least good mid range, as I've been using them all this time. No wonder they suck if the damage fall off is that big.
